I once took an oath to defend the Constitution, and it did not have an expiration date. When, and if, an egregious action such as firearm confiscation occurs, that is exactly what I am sworn to do.

AMEN!!!
My feeling exactly. I may not have been a Marine BUT
“ONCE A MARINE, ALWAYS A MARINE”, is a lot more than a statement, it is a way of life, I was USN by choice but I definitely have a ‘USMC state of mind’.
Semper Fi, Shipmate.
We like the Navy - anytime we needed to fight, you guys gave us a ride! - Just kidding! I have a lot of faith in the knowledge that most currently in uniform would disobey any order that demanded action against the American public. At that moment, we would all need to rise and take action on the authority that demanded it in the first place. Heck, not even the Russian military obeyed those orders.
Bless you. I was one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children for only a scant four years of my life. I will not say it was just the Corps, but the military way of life that led me to what, at least for me, has beeen a very comfortable, sucessful life in my latter years. A souynd business should be, must be, run on thge sound principals of unity of purpose, whether it be for country of monetary sucess.
I would not be who I am without my introduction to adulthood from the service.
