I need Vaseline for my cheekbones when I’m outdoors, and I use Vaseline infused cotton balls for fire starter.
You can keep a tiny jar of cotton balls soaked in Vaseline in your car, and you have the fire starters, and the chap lip product, and a lubricant all together.

"Disagree on the glo sticks."
Same same...bought a whole box once (maybe 24-25?...forget), they sat on the shelf &,
I would take a few out for night diving occasionally. After 2 years they were all duds.

Duct tape is #10?
What’s wrong with them? It should be number one.

Hand Crank LED Flashlight. Just bought two of them on sale after Christmas. One minute of cranking gave me over 10 minutes of strong light.

I took this photo off the internet to use as an example, different size bottles or drilled caps (I like sliding the light backwards into the hole, and then screwing on the cap) for different size flashlights, or one can just lay the flashlight inside of an oversize container, or one can buy fitted diffusers for brand name lights (or for measured sizes of flashlight heads, usually in mm).

Duct tape would be ideal for taping plastic to your windows in case you had to “shelter-in-place.” Then you guzzle the tabasco sauce so that the fire in your mouth and throat distracts you from the misery of being cooped up inside your house because a trainload of sarin gas derailed two blocks away. Of course, if that actually happened, you’d need to close your air vents and turn off the air conditioner, too.

Twist-it flashlights are good, too. However, the one I have doesn’t really give an impressive amount of light.
To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks
Most flashlights come with a cheapo stock bulb.
But you can go to a Radio Shack or other electronics outlet and usually buy a Krypton bulb of the same voltage that will give you a lot more lumens.
Remember, though, the brighter the light, the quicker the batteries give out!

Look what this light can do with a single AA battery. A Krypton bulb can't do this.

You should see what they can do with 4 AA batteries (and an led)!!!

I know what you are saying, and I have a couple LED flashlights.
But my eyes (old, old eyes!) have trouble with the color of the LED spectrum. Maybe soon they will come up with a more natural, solar spectrum type LED.
I can barely stand the light from the compact fluorescents also..

Got ‘em all. Recommend black, brown or OD duct tape, though. You can’t have too much Tabasco sauce, either.

Wow!
A flash from the past!
Remember the Mike Reagan forum from so long ago?
God... my wife was still alive, I had hopes and fears and dreams... now it seems like it was all a dream.
Hard to think about how far we’ve fallen, eh? Cripes, repeal the amendment and let Billy-Bob back in, we’d be better off!
Happy New Year, old friend!
