Former New York City mayoral candidate Mark Green drew a parallel between gun owners and child molesters Thursday evening on MSNBC. Green suggested that residing near gun owners and residing near child molesters may pose comparable risks, and thus there should be a registry for both:
MARK GREEN: Well it is a neighbor’s interest, even if a law-abiding person has a person, has a permit, has a gun, Adam Lanza stole a gun from his mother who he of course killed. I’m a lawyer and believe in the right to privacy. This is in the public domain. The information is publicly filed. Of course, the newspaper had a right to publish public information. The question is was it right as a matter of judgment for them to do that. If we have a Megan’s Law, and I think everybody might agree, that if you’re a convicted child molester, I think everybody might want to know that because they’re in their home safe, but they may come out. Same thing with guns. There may be people who think the more concealed weapons, the better, fine – live in Texas and Florida.

Lived in OR, a gun heavy state and CC is pretty easy to get in many counties, no license required to buy either.
Now live in WA which is controled by libs but CC can be gotten by law abiding citizens, no license required to buy either.
No registration required in any of the three for long guns and none for hand guns that I know of except for initial purchase for background check which is not supposed to be retained.

In the Los Angeles School district, Child molesters can be teachers and are protected by the Teachers Union.
If this guy wants all gun owners on a list for everyone to access, this will just encourage gangs to come and break int those homes when the owners are gone and steal the guns. It’s like putting up a christmas list for criminal. Maybe, just maybe, that’s what this guy wants to do, is to create more crime and more killings and death. Libs, creating crime where there is now for 200 years

How about disclosure on a website of the home addresses of anyone who’s ever had one of America’s 50+ million abortions? If a woman is willing to kill her own child, how safe if yours in the neighborhood?

If ccl owners are put on public databases, then maybe, we need to stop concealed carrying and push for open carry.
