American soldier suicides continue to outnumber combat-related deaths in 2012, and the trajectory for soldier suicides continues to get worse.
Statistics released by the Department of the Army show that through November potentially 303 active-duty, Reserve and National Guard soldiers committed suicide. As of Dec. 7, Stars and Stripes reports that 212 soldiers have died in combat-related deaths in Afghanistan.
The Army set a grim new record of 177 potential active-duty cases with 2012 coming to a close on Tuesday 64 of these cases remain under investigation, 113 have been confirmed... .

With the bunches of faggots, dykes, Illegals, and minority gang-refugees that make up the Recruits today, it’s no wonder......
Sad news.
What a sad situation as well, where our men and women in uniform have no reason to respect ....or trust...the person who is their nominal Cammander in Chief.
May God bless the brave souls who put their own lives at risk for our sake. And woe to those who want to break their word to them in cutting off their earned benefits.
But the more the country follows an ideology that is from the devil, the more it is headed to hell, and the more hopeless many people become,
And which proves no small encouragement to radical Islam, who at least recognize that is wrong. You can be sure this news is being played up in that media.
While their iniquity is expected, America has a different heritage, and its prayer should now be ordered after this manner,
“And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens. “ (Ezra 9:6)
I am sure many of the Founders would agree, while the liberal “prophets’ want us to be assured all will be well if we follow their (victim entitlement) ideology.
To whom applies,
“For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the Lord. “ (Jeremiah 8:11-12) ,
My heart breaks for those who evidently have no hope. I always wonder when hearing stories like this how often they turned down the source of true hope.
They went on their last tour to fight fascism, no, I meant communism, sorry, it is Islam now. Rest in Peace, soldiers, God knows what was in your heart.
And maybe if less of them came home to bank accounts that weren’t empty and wives who didn’t cheat on them and leave them broke.
Something that helped VN vets was mentor programs/networks for vets.
It was mostly Christian vets who could help them understand and manage the readjustments to civilian life, navigate through family problems, etc. and help them find a place to live (if they needed that) and a job.
The divorce thing is almost a given in today’s self centered culture. A woman has to be willing to hold her own and be considerate, true and patient while the soldier gets re-established in civilian life. In today’s crazy society, divorce is high. Which makes mentoring buddy systems even more important.
you are absolutely right about mentors, and take the fact that techno kids are having social problems then give them real life issues and no support— they need their brothers.
I think they should have to do a year of reserves after they get out. Maybe 2 to ease the transition?
That is an idea. At the least they should get paid for a year while they get re-established in civilian life. It’s the cost of doing war business.
