Why does modern western civ think its “cool” to be mean to perfectly innocent individuals in the name of humor? Its sick.
This is ridiculous. The nurse obviously had other mental issues. No sane person would commit suicide over a prank. It wasn’t even that embarrassing a prank. Have we become so weak that a little bit of embarrassment makes us go off the deep end.
And now you are a blogger.
A tragic tale of dashed dreams and failure.
My condolences, sir.
No. Just like the bully suicides, the person that did the killing is the suicide NOT the people around them. They might have done something annoying and stupid and embarrassing for her, but plenty of people get annoyed and embarrassed without killing themselves. It’s like blaming the gun for the crime.
Very bad, misleading headline.
NO they didn’t kill her.
She took her own life.
Your Headline is tantamount to saying the gun killed the victim.
Granted, they may have (in her mind) ‘shamed’ her and I would imagine her peers were pretty harsh on her, but, if the original reports are correct, she did herself in.
Other than the loss of life etc the other ‘tragedy’ here is that we will now be cascaded with 9 months (give or take) nonstop reports and updates on every hangnail and headache Mz Middleton experiences.
They should fire those DJ’s. I read that they were a little embarrassed by their prank at first until it went viral and then were just oh so enthralled with their wit.
Those DJ’s are loving this attention I bet.
Horrible people.
People should consider that before they engage in 'harmless pranks'.
That certainly turned ugly.
Such a pity.
No, she killed herself.
This is the same as the agy guy whose roomate filmed him making out with a guy, put it on the internet, then the gay guy jumped to his death.
-The gay guy jumped to his death-
Bull. First, she fails to do her job properly of ensuring client privacy, then she kills herself to save the embarrassment. By blaming others for her personal failure, you are justifying her suicide.
I outgrew the “morons in the morning” theme decades ago.
“Did Radio DJs Kill Kate Middletons Nurse? “
No. It was either global warming or Bush. She isn’t responsible for her own actions. Everyone else is.
I just can’t see being so despondent over a prank call that you commit suicide.
If her mental state was so fragile, something else would have been her breaking point, even if the prank hadn’t happened.
Such a tragedy.
No these DJs did not kill her or contribute to her death.
It was a harmless prank and no one was harmed and no critical information about the royals was released to the public.
The question is whether someone in the hospital or British security or wherever jumped down this woman’s throat for this minor incident and made a mountain out of a molehill. They know who they are and they are more to blame than anybody.
Southern Cross Austereo, the company that owns 2Day FM station says that DJ Mel Greig and Michael Christian are deeply saddened by the news of Jacintha Saldanhas death and are taking themselves off the air until further notice. Read on for their full statement!
DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian of Sydneys 2Day FM station, who claimed to be Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles during a prank call to Kate Middletons hospital room on December 4, have released a statement after Jacintha Saldanha, the mother of two who transferred the call, was found dead on Dec. 6.

This is what happens when people turn their backs on God, which our world is doing. The DJs were wrong, but they were just following the ways of this world, which are to act like a pack of wolves. They lied to those two nurses, but they didn’t see them as people, but just as tools. Even the coverage after the “prank” did the same. The victims were just the royal family, not those actually lied to. It’s sad, though, that more Christian and conservative leaders aren’t standing up and pointing this out, like more used to do, and saying that this is a consequence of liberalism, atheism and rejecting Christ.
Why don’t people get informed before commenting?
The woman did not embarrass the Royal Family and did not disclose anything. She merely connected the pranksters’ call to a nurse who did. She was not reprimanded by the employer.
Get it?
The way I see it it is a debate between cliche spitting, and as it always follows (or rather precedes) cliche thinking, and a thoughtful view of human condition.
