As you've most likely already heard, the TEA Party right has declared all-out war on Karl 'Boss Hogg' Rove in the wake of numerous recent (expen$ive) GOP disasters in which
'The Architect' played an inglorious starring role. The final straw was likely his lack of willingness to take responsibility for an almost complete lack of success in the 2012 election cycle, instead pointing fingers and making excuses like an Italian cruise ship captain.

Rove's flat-out whiffing in almost every race he backed -on top of improbable Romney defeat- would be enough for any sensible organization to seek-out somebody with a different strategy/skill-set... yet now Rove has provided still more reason to turn on him by attempting to blame the right for Mitten's lack of results while pushing an ill-conceived and unhelpful amnesty agenda as a shiny fool's gold cure-all for the party's current electoral woes.

As someone who initially backed Bachmann and later Newt Gingrich, I sure haven't forgotten the way Rove utilized near-limitless resources to destroy conservative candidates and ram Romney down our gullet. I really felt like I'd been totally screwed-over... not a very pleasant feeling.

Now we read that Santorum -who I'm no fan of- served effectively as a post-Iowa useful idiot that Rove utilized to damage all other conservatives, as he diluted and split the party's right by surrepticiously funding Santorum's dead-end campaign long past it's natural life. Not a huge surprise I guess, we all knew the fix was in... apparent from very early-on.

I ASK YOU who needs a duplicitous RINO scumbag like Karl Frickin' Rove manipulating our party- this gaming-the-primaries stuff is completely anti-democratic, denying the people's will (only 30% of Republicans supported Romney in the primaries- that's what you call 'collective wisdom'). 

Small wonder then that Rove got his blobular butt kicked all up-and-down the field on Election Day, and now the whole party is paying a heavy-duty price for it, not to mention the country (highlights Ed.)-

Santorum basically ran for Governor of Iowa in 2011, visiting all 99 counties; 

Santorum, out of Iowa, had no organization, no money and no chance in 2012 to be the Republican nominee; he was only a stalking horse for Mitt Romney 

Rove kept Santorum alive until he could kill Rick Perry first, and then Newt Gingrich. It's instructive to note that Santorum placed 3rd in the South Carolina Presidential Primary the third week of January, and placed 3rd again the next week in Florida — yet Rove [by encouraging GOP donors to donate Santorum] was able to parlay two third place finishes into a $1M shot of money to keep Santorum alive...this is political gamesmanship on a whole other level, plus access to unlimited money. 

That Fox News and the The Wall Street Journal worked out a hefty financial contract with Karl Rove is of no concern to me, Karl has every right to be paid well and -like me- participate in the political process. 

But giving Karl Rove the perch as a neutral analyst and an unbiased observer -honest broker- when in reality Karl is driven by his desire to enhance his clients and/or personal interests -corrupts the process.

Yes, the imminent death of the Karl Rove's diabolical RNC cabal will mean a true Reaganite renaissance in this country: you know... the long-overdue one who's time had unfortunately not yet quite come last week- but it is coming my friends, and soon.

THESE are people who get it- and because of that, they now stand ready to inherit the leadership mantle of the TEA Party

The fact is that Governor Palin has been the most effective conservative in America for the last four years, she has been so successful in shaping the party into her own image, that she is already an historical figure, her Governors, Congress people and Senators are what we all cling to in this hour of Romney/Rove caused desperation.

Romney was seen as the anti-Palin leader of the right, and was the actual GOP nominee, yet who do we all think has had more political success and influence since August 2008, and who do we all think will have the most success and influence in 2014?

I kept hearing about Newt’s “baggage” all through the primary debates. What more baggage does he have that Obama, doesn’t?? As far as I know, Newt never hung out with communist radical assh*les, wasn’t brought up and educated by communist assh*le radicals, didn’t hide his college records and other pertinent information so as to avoid public scrutiny.

And In light of Operation Fast and Furious, and now the Benghazi disaster, especially, which I fully believe Newt would have handed him balls over in the debates. We’ve got dead Americans that are laying right at the feet of this fraud in the WH.

These topics never came up with any real attempt at pinpointing the blame squarely where it belongs. And Romney fought harder against his GOP opponents than he did against the REAL opponent. When it came to the vulgar brawl that we needed, he folded like a cheap lawn chair.

I’m just curious about the whole “baggage” and “negatives” thing, because every time I heard Gingrich speak, he seemed in command of the issues, and I remember him from his days going head to head with Clinton and making Slick Willie take it on the chin (instead of leaving it on Lewinsky’s chin [sorry...couldn’t resist]).

This election, and the GOP’s part in helping it, was a disaster for the entire country.

Personally, I think Gingrich scares the hell out of the dems and their RINO comrades alike. We need MORE candidates who scare the hell out of them.

Look at who they’re going after the hardest and you’ll know who they’re worried about - guys like Scott Walker, and Allen West for instance.

Those are the two gentlemen I want to see team up and run in 2016. I’d LOVE to see Allen West as the Speaker of the House - replace that spineless weasel we have right now with a combat vet that isn’t afraid to get in the faces of the domestic enemy.

What I mean is that the negative image of Newt Gingrich was so well established in the general public's mind--whether fairly or unfairly--that I strongly doubt he could have overcome it. I don't think he would have done nearly as well as Romney did.

And Romney did not lose by a "wipeout," btw. Obama got barely over 50% (and that, maybe via vote fraud) in Florida, Ohio, Virginia, and--pick any one of several smaller states (NV, NH, IA) to go with them. If those few states are slightly different by a total of a few hundred thousand votes, we're now talking President-elect Romney.

But that now is water under the bridge. Romney didn't win, Gingrich would not have won, and neither will ever be running again.

Two good men. Walker, I think, could have a shot someday on the national ticket, along with guys like Kasich, McDonnell, and Rubio, maybe Mike Pence. I also think Ryan will be a force in the future.

I'd love to see West in some prominent role, too. But simply as an objective prediction, I don't think West will ever be Speaker of the House or on a national ticket. He will be fortunate just to get back into the House of Representatives.

But I do believe if he took it to Obama directly, he would have come out on top it. But yeah...it’s moot now.

RE Romney “wipeout”: Understood. The fact that Romney won’t even challenge any of those totals where there is even the remotest hint of fraud is aggravating as hell. You KNOW the Dems would send an army of lawyers into every precinct and ward if the situation were reversed.

Reality check time.

Santorum got over a million more votes than Gingrich and Perry combined (Perry got almost none cause he flamed out early, and no evil mastermind made it happen he did it all by himself). It was the no longer viable GINGRICH staying in that robbed SANTORUM of a chance to win letting Romney narrowly win several key states where Newt was polling in the toilet.

Gingrich and Perry are establishment losers like Romney, not good conservatives. And they were so terrible and incompetent that Obama would have torn either one of them a new one, maybe cost us the House. Hell Gingrich couldn’t even beat a social conservative Senator who lost reelection by 18 points for 2nd place to Romney! He barley beat Paul for third place! Pathetic.
