Whos next? London, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Dearborn? Until last year there was an annual Christmas tree standing in the center of the Grote Market in Brussels. Councillor Bianca Debaets regrets that this year the traditional Market tree will not be there. I suspect that the reference to the Christian religion was the decisive factor, she added.
he City has announced that there will be no tree at the Grote Markt this year. It will be replaced by an exhibit of lights that looks like an Evergreen tree. Debaets is not happy with that decision as she sees Christmas being gradually replaced by Winter Celebration terminology. Not that the Christmas tree is a Christian religious symbol, but the tree obviously is a reference to Christmas itself, which is why it has been banished from the Market. And thats a shame.
Debaets think a historical and multireligious city should keep the historical traditions alive while allowing all ideologies (even the violent ones like Islam?). For a lot of people (Muslims) who are not Christians, the tree there is offensive to them, she concluded.
Whats next? Debaets wondered. Will all eggs be banned from the city because they are symbolic of Easter? Is this what Brussels has become a Muslim city?

It’s already here. How many schools do you see giving a Christmas holiday? How many schools sing Christmas carols? How many neighborhoods - other than mine - do you drive through where you see a nativity scene? How many companies answer the telephone by saying Merry Christmas?
Saw the first batch of Christmas cards at our local Hallmark right after Halloween. Not a one of them said Merry Christmas on the front or had a picture of a star rising in the east with the three wise men.
We are like frogs in a pot of water, with the temperature of the water slowly and steadily being raised.
The frogs will notice nothing, and so will perish. Western civilization will notice nothing, and so will perish.
Gotta love South Park.
Will Hussein follow suit?
Many places. In fact Iraq was one place. Tet in Vietnam was an other. My grand dad used to load up his muzzleloader shotgun, with wads, and blast away till two am every year. Today, some just set off fireworks, like me.
Funny how all these innocent Christian customs offend these savages but whacking heads off and flying planes in to buildings doesn’t.
“BRUSSELS BANS CHRISTMAS TREES because they are offensive to Muslims” This remark brought to mind how during O’s campaign he used the “offend and hurt my feelings” a lot. Must be in their bloodline.
I’ll be darned.
I was not aware of that.Your grand dad seems like quite a guy.
Thanks.

Yes he was: immigrated from Italy before 1900. Never took a dime from the G. Joined the calvery in WWI to get his citizenship. Hated democrates with a passion “I came here to get away from the communists and socialists, not going to vote for them”. Never joined social security because it was a “government scheme”. Unfortunately he died 50 years ago but I recall him fondly.
Next: London
Then: Christmas tree sellers everywhere.
Belgium is the pedophile center of the world.
They’d rather have “Pink Parties” than Christmas Parties.
Anyone interested in my list of things that offend me, about Islam?
A Christmas Classic! ;)
Probbly the same things they offend most of us
The next thing to be banned of course, are Christian churches. They too, are surely offensive to Muslims.
Bet your list would be a ‘mile long....’
A few months after 9-11, I remember eventually saying, in my best Noo Yawk - ‘y e a h, well Islam offends ME - -
its coming folks
Only if we allow it! Not the usual B.S~~~I am sick and tired of my Christians values going to hell.
I sat today and said to myself NO MORE!!! DONE!!
CHRISTMAS is coming!!! STAND UP do NOT take it any more!!!
I REFUSE!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! GOD BLESS JESUS!!!
Being offended appears to be the way to get everything you want. I am offended that others are offended.
