In the spirit of this thread:

... I am doing this one, small thing ...
Whenever there is a financial transaction in my life, I insert 'soft language' about the election:
Example: When cancelling a service, I respond calmly and dispassionately when they ask:
"Due to my personal budget, I can't afford this service anymore. In light of the current election, I need to prepare for financial uncertainty."
Another: Buying an item in a store ... salesperson tries to up-sell me on another item, again I say:
"Thank you for the recommendation. However, due to the current election, I can't risk the extra cost in my personal finances/budget."
That's it. Simple and sweet. Not ANOTHER word. Always be courteous. If they push back or argue ("get in their faces" tactic), DO NOT take the bait. Just be a lady or gentleman, smile and excuse yourself.
Thoughts? This a great way to indirectly exclaim "elections have consequences".
An excellent idea. First it was the commie countries' products, then hussein's companies and now blue states' but there are plenty of products out there to choose from. Easy enough to do if we just take a few minutes to be aware. Also, don't feed the beast by cutting back on all unnecessary purchases.
Maybe....but the beer was probably shipped to the rail line via union truckers. Regardless, it is easier to just strike off a whole state than it is to go to a lower level.
California, New York, Mass, Penn, NJ, Maryland, Illinois, Ohio, etc....Let the Democrats buy their stuff, or move somewhere else.
I was on a happy high last month thinking the country was going to be saved and donated to the local fire dept. Tuesday night I was kicking myself for doing it.
Hey I live in Ohio and I am all for it! I will buy from Red states when I must buy new products. But those will be few and far between!
BTW, I do, where I can, discriminate further down the state structure. For example, I do not do business with any company inside the city limits of Atlanta.
There are things like utilities, etc. that are only based there and other stuff that is funneled through rail and truck depots there, but I will not give them any more (e.g., city taxes and workers in Atlanta) than humanly possible.
If the airhead clerks and the crabby old salesladies ask if "there's anything else you need today", I say, "Nope, in view of the fact that the idiot voters of this country voted that Commie thief back in the White House, I DON'T need or want anything else or I'll end up in the poor house where you're gonna be already!"
Now that's language they can REALLY understand!

If there is a hostile reaction, by all means, protect yourself ... but know that most attackers 'want' the fight and won't heed your words at all anyway.
I move on to the next opportunity. There is a time and arena to fight (TV debates, commercials, etc.) But, I think calm, neutral words work best to get the point across within the infected culture, without giving anyone the opportunity to excuse you as a 'hothead', 'nutjob', 'extremist' ...
And not paying your taxes would work better?
... a "secret sign that's known" ... a la Raglan Road
Interesting ...
