Gov. Rick Perry’s statement on President Obama’s re-election
Houston Chronicle ^ | November 7, 2012 | Rick Perry

Posted on 11/07/2012 11:37:57 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

“The American people have given President Obama a chance to start over. He can take steps this time to govern responsibly. He can work with, not against, Republicans in Congress and governors around the nation. He can put an end to his reckless disregard for our rule of law and spare our nation another long, painful and expensive four years for American families, taxpayers and employers.

“We must hold his and Congress’ feet to the fire to once and for all cut spending, repeal Obamacare and withdraw federal encroachment into state decision-making and personal liberties. Our nation’s long-term prosperity and security absolutely depends on it.

“Meanwhile, states have the opportunity to pave the way for Washington by promoting common-sense policies of smaller government, lower taxes and restrained spending that create jobs and prosperity for their citizens.

“I commend Mitt Romney and his entire campaign team for a disciplined, focused and hard-fought race. Anita and I wish him, Ann and his team all the best.”

The more Rick Perry shows his face....the more happy I am that Romney was the nominee

The Dems would have had fun with his alleged switch-hitting....if you dont think so...look what they tried to do with Ryan and his dating a black woman

Coupled that with his forced STD vaccination of little girls, North American Union land seizures, and giving Illegal Aliens in-state college tuition...Obama would have swept all 57 states

I sure hope not. Also, I hope the Church doesn’t go down - well, actually, I know it won’t. But I think we’re going to see a serious attack on the Church now, since Obama feels that he can now claim full backing of the US citizenry to attack anybody or any institution that disagrees with him.

In the case of the Church, I would bet that the frontal attack is going to be the “gay marriage” issue. This will mean that Christian churches - and not just Catholics, but Catholics will be first because we are the most visible - are going to be prosecuted for “hate crimes” for not permitting “gay marriages,” not adopting out to “gay spouses,” etc.

Meanwhile, the Obamacare monster will be moving along inexorably in the background. He doesn’t need to do anything more to get that one going (although I read that Roberts is permitting a rehearing on a particular aspect of it).

They will go and they will go quietly because we haven’t the guts to fight. We have the tools but not the resolve. It is all politics.

Puhleeze. The alleged “STD vaccination” was actually a way to give parents a means of opting out of a mandated program, and as for Hispanics, if Romney had reached out to them (and this doesn’t mean pandering, it simply means rationalizing things from the point of view of what is economically best for us, the citizens of the US) the election outcome might have been different, because they could have overcome the nutty libertarian vote that cost Romney both Florida and Ohio.

And libertarians are rarely Hispanic, so I’d say you’re directing your wrath at the wrong target. Look at all the people (mostly priggish middle-aged white males) who were too pure to vote for the corrupt GOP and are actually even now relishing the fact that they made Obama the president.

"The Dems would have had fun with his alleged switch-hitting...."

Alleged by whom, exactly? Go look into that.

What a hell of a filthy thing to say about a decent fellow conservative. You should be thoroughly ashamed.

Texas does fight "....The Texas attorney general's office has filed 24 lawsuits against the federal government since Obama took office — litigation that has cost the state $2.58 million and more than 14,113 hours spent by staff and state lawyers working those cases.

....Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said the costs are worth it, calling the litigation "a fight against the unprecedented ideology coming from the Obama administration." In an interview, he said the legal battles he wages are meant to promote industry and protect Texas jobs.

Abbott took office in 2002 and sued the federal government three times between 2004 and 2007 while fellow Republican George W. Bush was president. But the floodgates opened under Obama, with Texas suing two dozen times since 2010. Sixteen of Abbott's lawsuits challenged environmental regulations.

....Texas has won five of Abbott's 27 cases, lost eight and had two others dismissed because the regulations or laws being challenged were lifted or repealed by Congress. The other 12 are pending....."

Hey Rick; how about growing a pair and begin planning to secede. Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama will soon follow.

I'm sorry.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever read here.

Business is thriving in Texas. Companies are pulling up roots and moving to Texas, asking their employees to follow them.

If Texas followed your advice, those companies would be forced to pay import/export taxes on everything bought and sold in the USA. And any employees would have to basically renounce their US citizenship to follow their company to Texas.

Great idea. Bravo! What a great way

Not trying to pour cold water on your assertion but I think it will take a good deal more than this to ever kill the beast.

Out of 27 cases

5 wins
8 losses
2 draws
12 incomplete

isn’t exactly a winning record is it?

Then go hide in a closet, curl up in a fetal position and piss on yourself when 0bama’s Civilian Defense Force comes calling. Real men will be running toward the sound of gunfire and defending what’s left of this once great country. You make me sick.
