He refuses to leave. When we force him away, he just comes back. Its really been flipping us out
Such are the quivering words of a flush-faced Stacey Bingham, President Obamas volunteer coordinator at his campaign headquarters in Washington D.C.
No, Ms. Bingham is not talking about Joe Biden. Nor is she speaking of the inevitable horde of creepy, overweight, middle-aged campaign volunteers who smell like a Beluga whales placenta that can be found at any campaigns volunteer offices. Bingham is speaking of none other than Oscar the cat (a.k.a. death cat, the grim purrer, and Dr. Catvorkian), who gained fame in 2010 from his uncanny ability to detect who was about to die at a Rhode Island nursing home. Curling up next to unconscious geriatrics in Providences Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre, Oscar, a 9-pound ordinary American housecat, stayed with each patient in the hours before their death, becoming perhaps the furriest, cutest Grim Reaper to date. Nursing home doctors confirmed over 50 cases of Oscar accurately predicting patients deaths.

I read that he had been found dead in a waste basket.....likely killed by some freaked out resident of the nursing home.
I loved this! Maybe Oscar the Death Cat was hanging out there because he’s really a Hank the Cat for Senate supporter.
Thank you for making my day. ;)

OK, who’s got the kitty ping list.
I LOVE this.
I googled but could find no report that he had died. He was 5 years’ old in 2007. Probably still at the Providence RI nursing home.
This article was satire;)

IIRC, someone wrote a satirical article saying that a nursing home resident had beaten Oscar to death with a bedpan. Naturally, some outfits reported it as legit.
Bummer, I thought it was for real. Anyhoo, I do remember my recently departed Whitey, she swatted the TV screen and hissed at it when Obama came on.
He knows if you are sleeping. He knows you won’t awake.
I’ve heard of the real cat.
This story is wishful thinking, but a girl can hope.
It’s funny, though.
I like that. That could go down in FR annals.
The Viking Kitty ping list holders might like it.
That it is.
Good kitteh! May she rest in peace.
