When Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul launched an ad campaign against Democrats who opposed his proposal to end foreign aid to Libya, Egypt and Pakistan, Graham took the unusual step of defending the Democrats from a fellow Republican.

I remember some years back when TX Senator, Kay Bailey Hutchison [R] refused to help Republican candidates running against sitting U.S. Senate women Democrats. A despicable practice of the "my friend" bs espoused and practiced in a chamber that describes itself as "the greatest deliberative body in the world."

When we reelected Pansey we knew then the senate races were going to be a problem,(turns out it was even worse with the Dems getting their “60.”), so we only saw his “R” and had to disregard his creeping liberalism.
We have been getting ragged about it in conservative circles ever since even though we gave America Jim DeMint.

There was no SC TEA party in 2008—there is now and Grahamnesty will be announcing his retirement or switch ala Arlen Spector, to the Democrat Party next year.

And you can take THAT to the bank!

Both graham and mccain have needed gone for years, but they play the same game. Liberal as all hell for five years, and Sudden Conservative Syndrome hits them around election time. How they keep pulling it off, I will never know.

The folks in SC better wake up to the fact that they cannot trust either party.

They must find people, regardless of party “affiliation”, who are honest, trustworthy, well informed citizens who are willing to take time out of their lives for the benefit of their country.

“affiliation” matters when Harry Reid holds the Senate leadership gavel - It matters A LOT. You work and get conservatives on the R ticket.

If party affiliation is a prerequisite, we’re doomed to what they (who anoint party members) allow us.

I’m of the opinion we’re better off if we can eliminate the political machines.

I don’t trust anyone who puts party above “.. honest, trustworthy, well informed citizens who are willing to take time out of their lives for the benefit of their country.” (something one might consider to be a partial definition of a conservative).

If being the best person for the office was the ONLY consideration in the voting booth EVERYONE would write in their mother, father, favorite uncle or aunt or even their damn dog...

...ever heard of realpolitik? Best man who can win and all that?
Next time Graham won’t be our awful best choice.

“The comes amid speculation that Graham could be a tea party target when he faces re-election two years from now.”

Ya think!

Graham is just another elite. His is just part of the Harry and Nancy show. Obama loves him too.

Homo boy disgraces SC every time he opens his mouth. One of the most venerable, conservative states, with signors on the Declaration of Independence, represented publicly by a RINO gay dandy. Beyond comprehension. Get rid of that mess.

TERM LIMITS, TERM LIMITS, TERM LIMITS.

All elected Gubmint officials, Agency heads and senior employees should be term limited. Salaries and benefits need to be reduced based on the state of the economy.

Failure should factor into their income. Has anyone left The WH or Congress poorer than when they arrived?

Reid won his Senate seat with less than 35,000 votes. We need to have 35,000+ tax paying conservative Californians move to Nevada and vote him out.

Right now condos in Vegas can be bought for 20K. Retired conservatives or those with businesses can pick up a “main residence” in Nevada and quit paying California taxes. Deny California income and give Harry the boot. WIN-WIN!

In the case of McCain, it is the open primary system in Arizona. Does SC have the same?

I’m ashamed to admit I’m South Carolinian every time Little Lord Flimsey Tinkerbelle prances before the cameras. Voted against the little creep in 2008.

BTW how did his opponent, named “Buddy Witherspoon”, manage to LOSE in our proud redneck state?

Sudden Conservative Syndrome......yeah, Flimsey’s got all the symptoms.

Yecchh.......

Graham is one of those cases where I think a Tea Party challenge is worth the gamble. It would be one thing if he were representing a squishy-to-blue state ala Scott Brown. You aren’t going to elect better in Massachusetts than a guy like Brown. South Carolina isn’t Massachusetts, though, and I’m of the opinion the voters can elect whole a lot better than Lindsay Graham in their state.

All Rinos must go. Unfortunately, after one term in the
Senate, they all turn into RINOS. Except for Jim Demint—at least so far.

The Tea Party won’t be spread thin with a presidential election in 2014. Will be able to focus like a laser on some of the worst RINO’s including Lindsey Graham.

This is good example of "reductio ad absurdium":
"If being the best person for the office was the ONLY consideration in the voting booth EVERYONE would write in their mother, father, favorite uncle or aunt or even their damn dog..."

I'm saying don't trust the machines.
Or to be more "politically correct": "Trust but verify" - Ronald Reagan regarding Russian machinations.
Trusting the "parties" is what got us where we are now.
ALL of them had a hand in allowing the marxist and his cronies in the seat of preeminent power.

“Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is another possible challenger.”

You gotta be f-—g kidding me. Mark Sanford?! someone has the ‘nads to put his name in the hat? Isn’t he busy hanging out in Argentina with his new who-er? Sure. Why not? I mean, if it feels good - do it, right? Just the kind of message we need to go with in SC.
