Marc Lamont HIll recently listed (in his opinion) 15 most overrated white people. Referring to it as tongue and cheek on his twitter page Although; I think he just used that as a cover just in case things got ugly. So since the likelihood of any white person daring to reply with their own black list is very slim, in our politically correct atmosphere. And would be most certainly called the dreaded R word (racist). I thought I would compile my own list of the 15 most overrated black people.
Thurgood Marshall As a Supreme Court Justice . He is widely known as the lead attorney for the historic Brown v Board of Education Supreme Court victory, which overturned the segregationist policies of our public schools. While his unprecedented appearances before the Supreme Court as a lawyer is noteworthy. His twenty-four years as a Supreme Court Justice was lackluster and mostly uneventful. Like most liberal jurist his sliding scale or all inclusive view of the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment and judicial activism helped to foster the myth of a constitutional right to privacy as far as abortion is concerned. That decision alone; along with six other justices under the pretense of a civil right has done catastrophe damage to 50 million American babies that never saw the outside of their mothers womb. Far more damaging than any of the segregationist and discriminatory laws he fought against as a lawyer.
Jesse Jackson The man who was responsible for causing the ridiculous term African- American to go viral in the 80s has become a case study in what went wrong with the 1960s civil rights generation and the movement itself. A man who once honored the life of the unborn and talked about the importance of the Black family changed course and made an unholy alliance for political expediency with the liberal/progressive white hierarchy who came to him, calling in a payment for the support they had given to the civil rights movement twenty years earlier. Jackson became a piped piper for a death industry that has killed more blacks than the middle passage, slavery, and lynching combined. And he became an advocate for same-sex marriage at the same time that heterosexual marriage in is own community was becoming more and more obsolete. He has benefited greatly from corporate shake-downs and white guilt. Not to mention his embarrassing stance on issues like the Duke-Lacrosse case, protesting Santas use of the word ho, ho, ho on the public airwaves and his obsessive desire to organize marches if the wind blows in the wrong the direction.
NAACP and its awards show .The oldest civil rights organization in America, which was started by white republicans has become the NAADP (National Assoc. for the Advancement of the Democratic Party). This group has consistently followed the Democratic Party line on issues that most people of color dont even agree with; i.e. .School choice, gay-marriage, welfare to work polices, and climate change. Their weakness and irrelevance confirmed by a trip not once but twice to Geneva to speak before the United Nations Human Rights Council; the great arbiters of justice and equality! And as far as its award show is concerned the moment they nominated R. Kelly for an Image Award; it became worthless.
Tavis Smiley .. Ebony once named him the No. 2 change agent in media only behind Oprah. Time magazine named him one of the most influential people in the world in 09. But yet, his influence was wasted by spearheading symposiums and conferences with the same old crew of monolithic Black liberals that he dubbed the best and the brightest of us. And somehow each event always turned into a blame whitey or the GOP for our mess conference shocking how that happens! And all the events proved to be ineffective. His poverty tour with his partner in progressivism, Cornell West was well for lack of a better word poor. Lastly he has been blackballed and labeled a turncoat by many of the professional black left for committing the cardinal sin of criticizing President Obama for his abysmal policies in reference to the black community. Its a good thing he and Big Bird have the same employer.
Black College Professors (mostly liberals/progressives) Put a few letters behind their names and all of sudden they become experts about what is best for or how to fix the social and economic plight of black people. While getting a masters or PHD is laudable. Increased knowledge doesnt always translate into increased wisdom. Viewing MSNBC is proof of that. But yet on every cable channel, including Fox when there is a news story about Blacks, the media more often than not; will look for the closest black professor they can find, who is usually a liberal, to give an analysis about the plight of black people. And most of the time, they are so far off its ridiculous.
Some Black Preachers (and excluding my pastor who happens to be black) In the black community, when a man or a woman had the title of Pastor, Rev. or Bishop in front of their name it use to garner a certain respect because of their service and sacrifice to their communities. Especially in the late 19th and early 20th century, in an era when speaking out could cost you a visit from your friendly neighborhood KKK, White League or Red Shirts. But in our day and age, corruption, sexual immortality and capitulation to civil rights leaders who have sold their souls to a liberal agenda of the DNC; has yielded catastrophic results in their communities. Add to that the fact that many have compromised on biblical teachings that clearly speak against abortion and same-sex marriage in order to support the first Black President. And a political party that doesnt even want the God they preach about in their platform.
Tom Joyner Like most black talk radio host; on black radio stations, they are long on bad and borderline vulgar entertainment and short on un-biased information that is important to the black community. His liberally twisted minstrel show is a joke. Its a morning slapstick comedy routine with an entourage that sounds like they have been out drinking or smoking weed all night. Its a slap in the face to all the other black media pioneers who paid a huge price for the right be heard and speak about issues that are important the black community. He boldly declared: Lets not even deal with facts right now. Lets deal with our blackness and pride and loyalty. We have a chance to reelect the first African American president. And Im not afraid or ashamed to say that as black people, we should do it because hes a black man. This remains as one of the most racially and intellectually insulting statements made to black people that I have ever heard in our day and age.
Al Sharpton .White liberals especially MSDNC, love him, conservatives despise him, and honest black people know exactly what he is .a racial opportunist, a civil rights demagogue; who wishes he was born teen years earlier just so that he could have padded his civil rights resume! This man has been on the wrong side of some many issues, that it is impossible to name them all. And like Joyner he has adopted a support the President at all cost, no matter what mentality. And with a Mussolini like snarl; he will challenge any of his black professional left colleagues who would dare try and do the opposite. Just ask Cornel and Tavis.
The President Barack Obama rode into the presidency with hope and change. On the night of his election many black people were captured on video across the nation crying and rejoicing. Well four years later some are still crying but the rejoicing has been replaced with disappointment. Faced with the hard truth that the government centric snake oil that the DEMS keep trying to sell to Black people doesnt work. And that the so-called evil banks that he promised to crack down on; have only gotten stronger. The greedy Wall Street brokers that he criticized have simply gotten richer all under his watch. Meanwhile, a horrific jobless rate for blacks has held steady, averaging around 14%(even worse among black youth) for his entire first term is without a doubt disappointing. His constant dismissing of his most loyal constituency and irritation with their complaints are obvious. The fact that the only black-community specific public policy he has signed is a let me throw them a bone, so they can shut-up Education program that will do nothing to improve the educational outcomes of black students. And a change to the mandatory-minimum sentencing for crack users. (I can hear people in crack houses everywhere shouting no justice, no peace)! Not to mention a healthcare and immigration bill that will raise taxes, shrink the workforce and create even greater competition in the job market for Blacks. How about that hope and change!
Tupac Shakur . Immortalized after his death by rap enthusiasts, college professors and hip-hop intellectuals (Tupacologist I call them). Tupac, like other tormented artist whose lifestyle expedited their own demise; has been made into a mythical folkloric rapper whose lyrics somehow shined a light into the secrets of the inner city. As if his lyrics were a 20th century Uncle Toms Cabin rap manifesto about the atrocities of the hood. We already know what has been going on the hood. It has been happening for forty-five years! The destruction and dysfunction of the Black Family! Yet Black liberals and White guilt- laden progressives romanticize about his lyrics and declare he was just keeping it real or deep about the plight of the black community in the hood. But the reality is, it was HIS TRUTH and not THE TRUTH there is a big difference. If you want to immortalize something about him immortalized that.
Nicki Minaj enough said!
The Democratic Party Since they say they are the party of Black-Americans The DNC wont admit it but, if the truth be told and closely examined. Blacks are no longer politically en vogue! Gays, Hispanics, Woman and Muslims have become the civil rights flavor of the decade and the future. Remember the public relations nightmare photo a few months ago at the Obama re-election campaign headquarters in Chicago. In which only two black faces were barely noticeable in a sea smiling white twenty-somethings! Its no accident folks, its the DNC of the future or should I say the past!
Every member of the CDC (excluding the Congressman from the 22dn dist of FL) .. They call themselves the conscious of the congress. A more appropriate title would be the unconscious congress! The fact that they have decided to hold President Obama to a lower standard than any other President, republican or democratic, just because he is black speaks volumes about where their allegiance lies; and its not to the people who put them in office. Chairman Emanuel Cleaver has been quoted as saying the caucus is always hesitant to criticize the president The only people we dont hold accountable are people we have little or no expectation of.
Samuel L. Jackson Is simply an embarrassment to his profession; a man who holds the distinction of being in more movies than any Black man in American history. And yet he chooses to embrace the lowest and most negative stereotype that exists about Black men. The angry, foul-mouth fool, who thinks a well place curse word, adds to his bravado or tuff man image. What it actually reveals is your grammatical ceiling; and your intellectual limits. And the fact that he added his talents to a warped childrens bedtime story for emotional immature parents called; Go the F**k to sleep and a re-elect Obama spoof using the F**k word again is idiotic. Maybe hes still stuck in his Shaft character?
Charles Barkley
.The former round mound of rebound was right years ago when he said sports figures should not be considered role models. He and many other athletes have proven that theory. While his NBA career is noteworthy and he may deserve to be called one of the 50 greatest players. His off the court antics and Christian bashing irk me.., especially when he used to bash and verbally bully one the best centers to ever play the game David Robinson. David finished his career with two NBA rings, and Charles, well he finished his career in Houston, where Scottie Pippen called him out for being fat and lazy. Often outspoken and called on by the media to speak about issues other than sports. Why I dont know? Still trying to figure that one out
The Extreme Makeover of Fox News: Analyst Marc Lamont Hill ["Black Liberation" revolutionary communist]
Accuracy In Media - AIM Column ^ | October 2, 2009 | Cliff Kincaid
Who would plaster his Twitter page with police mug shot photos of convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur (aka Joanne Chesimard)? Fox News contributor Marc Lamont Hill did. At least until David Horowitz and Accuracy in Media took notice and wrote about it. Now the page features photos of boxing great Muhammad Ali. Hill's MySpace page is also gone.
There are other changes as well. The tributes to Shakur and black racist Khallid Muhammad, known as "America's Black Hitler," have disappeared from his web pages. The articles were saved, however, and can be found here.

PROFILE: KHALID ABDUL MUHAMMAD
Muhammad referred to Jews as people whose ancestors were cannibals who crawled around on all fours in the caves and hills of Europe and slept in [their] urination and [their] defecation... for 2,000 years. He characterized contemporary Jews as slumlords in the black community who were busy sucking our [blacks] blood on a daily and consistent basis. He said that Jews had provoked Adolf Hitler when they went in there, in Germany, the way they do everywhere they go, and they supplanted, they usurped. And he declared that blacks, in retribution against South African whites of the apartheid era, should kill the women,
kill the children,
kill the babies,
kill the blind,
kill the crippled,
kill the faggot,
kill the lesbian,...kill them all.
On subsequent occasions, Muhammad praised Colin Ferguson, a black man who had shot some twenty white and Asian commuters (killing six of them) in a racially motivated 1993 shooting spree aboard a New York commuter train, as a hero who possessed the courage to just kill every goddamn cracker that he saw. He advised blacks that there are no good crackers, and if you find one, kill him before he changes. He told a Donahue television audience in May 1994 that [t]here is a little bit of Hitler in all white people. He characterized black conservatives as boot-licking, butt-licking, bamboozled, half-baked, half-fried, sissified, punkified, pasteurized, homogenized Nigger[s]. On May 21, 1997 he told a San Francisco State University audience that the "white man" is "a no-good bastard. He's not a devil, the white man is the Devil." In September 1997 he said, "If you say you're white, goddammit I'm against you. If you're a Jew, I'm against you. Whatever the hell you want to call yourself, I'm against you."

"ASSATA (aka Joanne Chesimard)" is a pro-communist revolution propaganda film on the story of Joanne Chesimard. She (Assata Shakur/Joanne Chesimard) is the godmother of late rapper Tupac Shakur (see Section 5 of my FR home page: "the Brinks robbery and triple murder"). Tupac's stepfather (Joanne's brother) was deeply involved in that murder-robbery in which two police officers and one Brinks security guard were gunned down in cold blood.
The following is a description of the film from its pro-communist/"Black Liberation" producers
ASSATA (aka Joanne Chesimard)
Perhaps the most wanted woman in the history of the United States.
Assata Shakur/Joanne Chesimard, was questionably arrested and sentenced for killing a cop in the infamous 1973 New Jersey Turnpike shootup of a car carrying Shakur, and two other Black Panthers, one of whom was also killed. Assata received three bullets in the attack. Sentenced to Life, she escaped in 1979 from maximum security prison in NJ to eventually emerge in Cuba under Fidel Castros protection as a political exile. Assatas [Joanne Chesimard] writings and presence in Cuba have brought her a huge following as an icon, a heroine the Che Guevera of Black Liberation a freedom fighter to thousands of young peoples throughout the world. The State of New Jersey still holds a million dollar bounty on her headwanted dead or alive!

Marc Lamont Hill isnt Just An Admirer of Cop-Killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, Hes His Publisher
Marc Lamont Hill, Sept 7, 2009:
"I am thrilled to announce that Mumia Abu-Jamal has joined the Barbershop as a weekly contributor!! His column, Live From Death Row, will appear every Wednesday starting next week.
Mumia Abu-Jamal is one of the worlds most celebrated journalists, freedom fighters, and political prisoners. Since his early days in Philadelphia, Mumia was an active member of the Black freedom struggle. From his award-winning journalism to his involvement with the Black Panther Party, Mumia has devoted his life to Black liberation. Wrongfully incarcerated since 1981 for the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner, Mumia has continued to place a spotlight on various forms of injustice around the globe through his numerous columns, commentaries, and books. Mumia has generated international support for his own case, which has been one of the most glaring and repugnant reflections of the criminal (in)justice system."--Marc Lamont Hill

This can only hurt Romney.
Was this site created by Obama campaign ?
My guess is yes.
‘Jackie Robinson’ would stir the pot up but good.
why would a list of 15 most overrated black people be called racist? By who? By the 15 on the list?
How does it hurt Gov. Romney? The site was there long before this election.
Shouldn’t Edward Brooke be on the list? Though endorsed by Reagan, he was so bad MA replaced him Paul Tax on Gas.

Paul Robeson
Barack H. Obama
Henry Louis Gates
Jesse Jackson

"Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in the East Harlem section of Manhattan in New York City, New York.[3] He was named after Túpac Amaru II, an Incan revolutionary who led an indigenous uprising against Spain and subsequently received capital punishment.
His mother, Afeni Shakur, was an active member of the Black Panther Party in New York in the late 1960s and early 1970s; Shakur was born just one month after her acquittal on more than 100 charges of "Conspiracy against the United States government and New York landmarks" in the New York Panther 21 court case.[4] Although officially unconfirmed by the Shakur family,[5] several sources list his birth name as either "Parish Lesane Crooks"[6][7] or "Lesane Parish Crooks".[8]
Afeni feared her enemies would attack her son, and disguised their relation using a different last name, only to change it three months[6] or a year later, following her marriage to Mutulu Shakur.
Struggle and incarceration surrounded Shakur from an early age. His godfather, Elmer "Geronimo" Pratt, a high ranking Black Panther, was convicted of murdering a school teacher during a 1968 robbery, although his sentence was later overturned.
His stepfather, Mutulu Shakur, spent four years at large on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list beginning in 1982, when Shakur was a pre-teen. Mutulu was wanted in part for having helped his sister Assata Shakur (also known as Joanne Chesimard), Tupac's godmother, to escape from a penitentiary in New Jersey, where she had been incarcerated for allegedly shooting a state trooper to death in 1973.
Mutulu was caught in 1986 and imprisoned for an attempted robbery of a Brinks armored car in which two police officers and a guard were killed.[9]
Tupac had a half-sister, Sekyiwa, two years his junior, and an older stepbrother, Mopreme "Komani" Shakur, who appeared on many of his recordings.
The author
I recall when Brooke made an eloquent speech as to why giving away the Panama Canal was a bad idea--before he voted to give it away.
Although he was a star running back on a good UCLA team, Jackie Robinson never beat the USC Trojans.
Just a note: He changed his name to “Snoop Lion” recently for some reason.
Maybe that's more halal.
Wow! I just saw that the entire wikipedia section on Tupac and his Black Panther/communist/murderous connections that I posted above has since been reduced to the following (I came across it a few years ago and had saved it):
“Tupac has had several family members who were members of the Black Panthers; Mutulu Shakur, the step-father of Tupac, Assata Shakur [Joanne Chesimard], his step-aunt, Billy Garland the biological father of Tupac and Afeni Shakur his mother.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupac_Shakur#Personal_life
Why do you say that?
Does Lamont Hill’s list of the 15 most overrated white people only hurt Obama?
I don’t know the measure of overrated. This list seems more of the most disliked black liberal (democrat) people. I mean if Thurgood Marshal is considered overrated than surely Clarence Thomas is overrated.
It seems to me that the overrated ones are the more vocal liberals who attack the system asymmetrically from without while the underrated ones are the modestly subdued who attack the system methodically from within. Louis Farrakhan would certainly be on my list.
