Vice President Biden doubled down on the bad intelligence excuse in last night's debate when the question of the deaths of American personnel in Libya was raised.

Who or what is this “intelligence community” that the Obama is administration is quoting when they tell us that this shadowy “intelligence community” told them that the attack in Libya was the result of a demonstration about a video.
Let’s be clear, the only people who have told the American people that the our ambassador and three others were killed in Benghazi as the result of a demonstration that got a little rowdy are people who claim that they’re only telling us what they were told.
Isn’t it convenient that the members of the intelligence community that gave such a spectacularly incorrect assessment of what went on in Benghazi are not identified? I would really like to know who these people are and how they managed to mislead the entire Obama administration for a full month. It is particularly telling that they stuck to their story despite the fact that people in the State Department were actually listening in on the attack. That other member of the State Department knew that it was a terrorist attack within 24 hours. That members or congress and the press knew that it was a terrorist attack even as Ambassador Rice went out to five Sunday morning news shows to lie. That even today Joe Biden tries to keep the lie alive that “we” didn’t know what the truth was. I guess it all depends on the meaning of the word “we.”
I hope someone in the press corpse asks the question: just who were these member of the “intelligence community” that were able to mislead the smartest President the world has ever known. We want names. We want to know if these same people also provide “intelligence” on exactly when Iran will have a nuclear weapon. It will give us an idea of just how worried we should be.
We already know the answer. Petraeus told the House after the attack that it was due to out of control protests over a video.
The Executive Branch under this pResident apparently has no organization chart for those involved with national security.
Especially regarding a precise list of who advises and informs the pResident.
My suspect is that guy Crapper, or whatever — the one who said the Muslim Brother hood was just a nice bunch of philanthropists.
We now know they were watching the consulate attack in real time. No mob, no protest, just a military attack. And Petraeus knew it in real time.
He threw away his integrity so easily. He's almost in Dempsey's Quisling class now.
Maybe it’s the same intelligence team that is advising obama and biden on the status of Iran’s nuclear program, Syrian WMD, Chinese nuclear, cyberwar and space weapon development,and Russian compliance with its strategic arms treaties

He had the correct information as to the cause...do you really believe he told the administration this lame excuse...Waiting for the other shoe to drop
At some point, under Clinton’s administration...the only “intelligence” that the White House was getting...was from a State Department team that came in a couple of times a week. I suspect that if you dug into this....it’s again mostly State Department guys briefing the President.
Yes, I do believe it. A congressional source told Fox News that is EXACTLY the excuse he used 3 days after the attack.
There are four senators who have written a letter (Oct 9) to Petraeus, Brennan, and Clapper asking them to clarify exactly what they told the administration. They have asked it be reported in an unclassified format.
Fox reported that a Congressional source indicated Petraeus’ briefing did use the “video” excuse logic.
I read yesterday Petraus, head of the CIA, said it was a demonstration over the video and I read that General Dempsey called Rev. Jones to warn him not to distribute the video. It was on you-tube and Rev. Jones does not have any control over you-tube - the distributor of the video.
This is from foxnews documentating intellegence community (Petraus) was in on the lie:

According to the source, this was “shocking” to some members who were present and saw the same intelligence pointing toward a terrorist attack.”
Here is Dempsey shaking his lying leg:
“WASHINGTON, Sept 12 (Reuters) - General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the U.S. military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke with Pastor Terry Jones by phone on Wednesday and asked him to withdraw his support for a film whose portrayal of the Prophet Mohammad has sparked violent protests - including one that ended with the death of America’s envoy to Libya... “

Who in the intellegence community gave false intellegence on this matter? General Dempsey and General Petraus, just to name two. Did they hide the intellegence from the State Department and President before the attack or did they just lie to everyone after the attack?
Why did they lie after the attack? Were they protecting Obammy and Hillary or were they trying to spin their own pro jihadi policy and stance in sympathy with the enemy from the public eye? They have been killing soldiers with their lies about Islam...putting jihadists on their bases to murder them. Murdering the ambassador through the same negligence/deceipt about Islam, is not that out of step with everything else they are doing.
Their lies are going to get the homeland hit again.
Oh wait, well maybe the answer to your post is that he didn’t tell the Administration the lame excuse - he only lied to Congress.
