Mitt Romney's presidential campaign has "done a first-rate job of snubbing us," CBS "Late Show" host David Letterman said Friday, demanding of his audience that if the GOP nominee hasn't appeared on his show by election day on Nov. 6, "don't vote for him."
Reprising past pleas to the former Massachusetts governor, Letterman announced that "Mitch" Romney, as the bit goes, has his pick of "any night, any time, short notice, whatever he wants." President Obama went on the show last week.
Letterman said he's "getting a whiff" that Romney's "scared -- let me rephrase that... yellow," and joked that the nominee won't come to his studio and talk to him but is "going to put China in their place." He insisted his jokes about Romney aren't personal.
"We just make fun of everybody -- that's the whole deal," Letterman said. "And it just happens that 'Mitch' is funnier than Obama. So it doesn't mean anything." Pointing out that he himself is an independent, he added, "I have no dog in this fight, ladies and gentlemen.".
Romney did appear on the show in December, months before securing the nomination...

Whats the damn issue? Seriously. Nobody that watches Letterman will vote for Romney anyway. No loss for Mitt.
Letterman still has a show? Why?
Why is Mitt Romney funnier than Barack Obama you sissy David Letterman?
You are the coward - not wanting to distance yourself from the liberal elite who swoon over the Choom with the View.
Letterman was funny back in the silent film days.
Hope he realizes he won’t get 5 votes out of that late night druggie crowd.
Pray for America
It’s funny Letterman and “The View” both want Mitt Romney to become their punching bag.
What was that impossible thing Clint Eastwood said o the chair.
Romney should answer that way . Go______yourself.
Never could stand Letterman. You couldn’t pay me enough to go anywhere near him or his show.
The last time I watched Letterman, on YouTube, was when he was having that Drum-Off week and he had Neil Peart of Rush on his show.
Despite even Peart’s political leanings, it can’t be denied that he’s one of the world’s top drummers.
Team Obama is seeing some numbers they don't like, IMHO. They've called out their media attack dogs (Letterman, The View) to taunt Romney, lure into a trap. If they can't generate some gaffes, they'll manufacture them through creative editing.
If Mitt refuses, they can at least claim they were objective - after relentlessly savaging Romney and sucking up to Obama, they tried to give Romney some equal time...
“Neither was Letterman’s statutory rape joke about Sarah Palin’s thirteen year old daughter. Neither was his crack about Palin looking like a slutty flight attendant. Hey, lighten up! They were just jokes! It was nothing personal!”
Oh, how I would love for Todd Palin to pay that little twerp an unannounced visit and confront him. Letterdork would wet himself on live television! Say something funny a-hole!
Romney should come on, take a cell phone call in the first minute and tell Dave that he has to go, Conan O’Brien has an opening.
obammy and loserman. Two sissys trying like hell to come off as “manly”.
If you’re one of the handful of people still watching Letterman, there was zero chance of you voting for Romney anyway.

Thank you Mitt. It is high time that jokesters from the Liberal Agenda Media are snubbed, early and often.
Just curious...have Dave and the gang figured out yet which Palin kid is which?
Ah, yes, the ruminations of a burned out pervert.
Exactly.
I stumbled across Letterman’s show a few weeks ago and was floored by how old that dude looks. I used to watch his show regularly back in the ‘90s and it was pretty good, especially the up-and-coming musical talents Paul rounded up.
But now? Whew.. No thanks, not from the half-hour or so that I saw. Letterman is tired.
What is this a modern day version of my dad can beat up your dad? Why Mitt would show up on this gap toothed morons show is beyond me. How about King Obama doing an hour on Ruch Limbaugh...in person no teleprompters no prescreened questions.
