To Those Of You Conservatives Who Plan On Sitting Out This Election
Vanity | September 26, 2012 | Diamond6

Posted on 09/27/2012 10:28:51 AM PDT by diamond6

A conversation between my husband and a FReeper who wants to sit out the election because he doesn't like Romney:

"See, I believe that we are already past the tipping point.”

You really are naive. Nothing worse can happen, huh?

How about those hefty taxes that are planned for the “rich” (really small businesses) in January? Think that might possibly cause our economy to get even worse by increasing the jobless?

How about the $1 trillion dollar debt (conservatively estimated) for the next fiscal year’s budget and every year’s budget thereafter?

How about the disregard and attacking of the rights of all religious institutions, who will be forced to pay for something they believe is morally wrong? Do you think quite possibly Catholic hospitals and facilities might possibly go out of business?

How about the actual implementation of Obama Care, which will devalue our way of life, drive doctors out of the business, bankrupt insurance companies, and cause skyrocketing premiums?

How about the complete collapse of our economy, which will likely result in unprecented skyrocketing inflation rates and quite possibly a depression that we have never ever seen the likes of?

What about the complete disregard of any and all pro-life protections - babies, the elderly (euthanasia - they won’t be needed anymore?

How about the removal of any moral values for our country at all?

How about World War III in the Middle East, the annihiliation of Israel, and a nuclear holocaust there as well, with the fear of dirty bombs in this country?

How about the removal of all our rights - free speech, freedom of religion, right to bear arms through Obama executive order fiats?

How about the replacement of our conservative judges with ultra liberal anti-Constitutionalists?

How about a Communistic-style of government that will lead us to the point of no return?

Your no vote is a vote for Communism. Congratulations on your “principled” approach. And you’re doing that to teach the party “a lesson”? There won’t be a 2016 election to turn to, after Obama gets done.

You and others like you have no genuine concern or accountability for our country at all.

“conservatives who refuse to vote for Romney because he’s not the “perfect” fiscally conservative candidate”

Who are these people? I haven’t heard of anyone who won’t vote for Romney for that reason. Most won’t vote for him because he’s a socialist, or perhaps because he’s a cult member who secretly supports abortion and gay marriage.

And if the system collapes (very likely) who do you want steering what is left?

Who do you want trying to guide us through utter chaos?

The idiot Obamination or someone with actual morals and character?

But the insults, derision, bullying, name calling, intimidation and threats from the rabid Romney supporters have negated that possibility.

I have not, nor will I make any insults to like conservatives on this forum. We should live up to our own standards of decency, and not become like DU. I have made cogent arguments as a reason to vote for Romney, and not Obama, but apparently people like you won't be convinced. Regardless.

I am not as much of a "Romney supporter" as I am convinced that Obama is the WRONG person for the job. Romney, at least, has some qualifications to be a Chief Executive for this country. He may not be the perfect conservative, but he'd be far more friendly to business, and less hostile to traditional American beliefs.

For me at this point I want Obama out.I want to see him lose. I wish it were somebody else who won the nomination. But I want Obama out. Also Virgil Goode won’t be on the ballot. So for me I say let us end Obama’s presidency.

So, are you folks going to remain silent if 0bama gets re-elected or continue being critical of his march to Marxism?

If you’re partly responsible (which you would be) for the zero’s second term, then I don’t think you’ll have the right to complain about a single thing he does.

You reap what you sow, my FRiends.

I don’t think there is any choice in that matter, math has simply taken over at this point. How hard and complete it will be is the only sum we do not know. But coming it will - and in such times, we cannot fathom the barbarity that will ensue among an entitlement generation unaccustomed to brutal hardship and privation. I think the French provide a bit of a clue.

Judging by the comments of some who would like to rip our lungs out if we do not vote the way they demand we do - I think we may become a horror to the nations for what may transpire here.

Makes no difference who is at the helm in that regard. It’s a mathematical certainty of collapse at this point.

Folks better be thinking past November.

Sure, but there is no guarantee of anything in life except death or taxes, so that doesn’t mean much.

At this point you are beyond reason and are no longer worth trying to convince.

Better to call you what you are - aiding and abetting Obama

Thank you very well stated. I will not vote for Obama nor Romney. If Obama wins it will be the fault of the liberal RINOs who voted Romney in the primaries. These are the same people on here who become unglued at any truth told about Romney. They cannot defend him and resort to childish insults. There are many conservatives who have reached the same point and will no longer vote liberal for the good of the party, while watching the Country decline.

Let the chips fall where they may. If we are faced with that kind of crisis, and our people don’t rise up and throw off these socialists and statists and set things right, then we, as a people, deserve the bastards ruling over us.

Finally! Two Conservatives worth having a discussion with on amiable terms even though we disagree!

Fantabulous!

We agree on these points you made - Obama is the WRONG person for the job, Romney will be more friendly to business and less hostile to those with wealth.

Those two things in themselves are not enough to get me to cast a vote for him.

He has a record as governor that is antithetical to every major faith principle I hold to, and what he and the Ruling Class did on Tuesday at the RNC showcased the very contempt for Conservatives and grassroots Christian activism I feared would come from Romney.

If foundational principles no longer guide our choices as a people to whom we select to be our leaders - and we are left to expedience and necessity out of fear, we have already surrendered liberty itself. For some of us, that includes our right to the free exercise of faith.

If God and our principles are not first in our lives, we will be ruled by men who have no such principles at all.

Or put another way - if we will not be governed by God, we will be ruled by the tyranny of men.

They never are. You'd think that folks who engage almost exclusively in picture thinking would be a bit better at analogies, but no....

"So, are you folks going to remain silent if 0bama gets re-elected or continue being critical of his march to Marxism?

Silent? Absolutely not! We're not voting for him. And we will criticize anyone we want to, including people we didn't vote for and people we did.

"If you’re partly responsible (which you would be) for the zero’s second term, then I don’t think you’ll have the right to complain about a single thing he does."

Only the people who actually vote for him are responsible for him winning. I definitely have the right to complain and what you think is both wrong and doesn't matter.

And he's only going to be doing the same thing Romney would be doing.

"You reap what you sow, my FRiends."

I wish that was always true. Because I'll be voting for a conservative. But I'm much more likely to reap what you sowed, a liberal. In fact, since most of our people are convinced they have to vote for one of the two established parties, no matter how much alike they become, it's pretty much ordained that I'll be reaping what I didn't sow, ...a liberal, no matter how I vote.

So when all collapses and even more people are broke and destitute you think some magical conservative unifying messiah is going to descend and pick up the pieces?

Talk about clincal psychosis.

It may be worth it, the Tea Partier can tell Republicans, for the GOP to lose some elections if it means that conservatives—and the country—will ultimately win.

How many elections do we need to lose before this magical transformation occurs?

The donkey voter follows the carrot right into the socialist barn. The nation's collective ideology shifts incrementally further to the left with each successive GOP defeat. Under Marxist Kenyan Emperor Obama and his Executive Order Pen, the "transformation" has been accelerated exponentially. In his first term, he's inflicted the equivalent of Pearl Harbor on our nation, and if he wins a second term, get ready for an economic Hiroshima.

Throwing McCain under the bus and electing a Marxist in his place was a brilliant strategy to advance conservatism. Let's keep up this winning plan and throw Romney under the bus with him. Hand the country to the Marxist without resistance, but don't expect a conservative resurgence after the nation is firmly pinned under the Marxist's boot heel, because it will be too late.

It's precisely because God is the priority in our lives that we will vote as we must.

BTW, I am not a "party hack" or a "rabid Romney supporter". He is not my first choice - he is my only choice. Not voting in this election is not even close to a real option.

God does not want you to sit on your ass and let evil prevail, He wants you to intervene!
