I have not, nor will I make any insults to like conservatives on this forum. We should live up to our own standards of decency, and not become like DU. I have made cogent arguments as a reason to vote for Romney, and not Obama, but apparently people like you won't be convinced. Regardless.

I am not as much of a "Romney supporter" as I am convinced that Obama is the WRONG person for the job. Romney, at least, has some qualifications to be a Chief Executive for this country. He may not be the perfect conservative, but he'd be far more friendly to business, and less hostile to traditional American beliefs.

Finally! Two Conservatives worth having a discussion with on amiable terms even though we disagree!

Fantabulous!

We agree on these points you made - Obama is the WRONG person for the job, Romney will be more friendly to business and less hostile to those with wealth.

Those two things in themselves are not enough to get me to cast a vote for him.

He has a record as governor that is antithetical to every major faith principle I hold to, and what he and the Ruling Class did on Tuesday at the RNC showcased the very contempt for Conservatives and grassroots Christian activism I feared would come from Romney.

If foundational principles no longer guide our choices as a people to whom we select to be our leaders - and we are left to expedience and necessity out of fear, we have already surrendered liberty itself. For some of us, that includes our right to the free exercise of faith.

If God and our principles are not first in our lives, we will be ruled by men who have no such principles at all.

Or put another way - if we will not be governed by God, we will be ruled by the tyranny of men.

It's precisely because God is the priority in our lives that we will vote as we must.

BTW, I am not a "party hack" or a "rabid Romney supporter". He is not my first choice - he is my only choice. Not voting in this election is not even close to a real option.

God does not want you to sit on your ass and let evil prevail, He wants you to intervene!

good to see a bit of civilized discussion today...its pretty simple really, i wont hold my nose again, as i dont believe its a productive exercise, and more importantly, by voting *for* RR, i believe that it is an endorsement of too many wrong principles...

we understand that many/most will hold onto a belief that they can/will make a difference by voting *for* RR...if thats what you gotta do, knock yerself out, but most/many simply wont allow us the same choice, which is sad, because we have been attacked on nearly every thread so far for voting on Principle instead of political expediency that has been an exercise in futility for the past 20 yrs...
