Mr. Baker;

America’s problems are much more serious than you depict and I doubt that these can be resolved.

Willie Sutton, when asked why he robbed banks, allegedly said, "because that's where the money is". Invented or not, that quote tells a central truth. Crooks go where the money is. Once our government was allowed to grow beyond the limits in our Constitution, it became a ripe target for looters. Big government attracts crooks, both as politicians trading our tax dollars away for personal donations and favors, and as patrons of those corrupt politicians.

We need a much smaller federal government, one so small that it no longer attracts the jackals and parasites who have grown fat on government pork. Romney is not the man for that job, but at least he'll buy us more time than the communist he is replacing would. Obama is almost certain to destroy America as a recognizable and free country if we give him even two more years in power. I will continue praying for our country - we desperately need God's help.

It should be : “The United States of America “
It is a matter of country soverignty

America would be the name of the North American continent

We already have the “Narcistist-in-Chief” who thinks that he already rules the world

“Does the United States actually exist as the country we once knew, or is this nation really just some sort of transitional nation which is or will be called America?”

Truth is it never existed at all as most of us—especially us old dinosaurs—once thought/believed it to be...

Brett L. Baker~ “ Obama care is actually a good example of why a living constitution is a bad idea. Whether we need some sort of overhaul regarding our health system or not, is a matter that should be up to the States. Yet, somehow this immediately went to the Supreme Court to decide. In essence, doesn’t that remove State sovereignty? “

Right now , there isn’t any politician that I would trust in the re-write of the Constitution.

Yes , there is the issue of “States Rights” which should supercede the intrusion of the Federal Govt.
Wasn’t there a discussion of States Rights versus the Federal Government about 150 years ago ?
