Willie Sutton, when asked why he robbed banks, allegedly said, "because that's where the money is". Invented or not, that quote tells a central truth. Crooks go where the money is. Once our government was allowed to grow beyond the limits in our Constitution, it became a ripe target for looters. Big government attracts crooks, both as politicians trading our tax dollars away for personal donations and favors, and as patrons of those corrupt politicians.

We need a much smaller federal government, one so small that it no longer attracts the jackals and parasites who have grown fat on government pork. Romney is not the man for that job, but at least he'll buy us more time than the communist he is replacing would. Obama is almost certain to destroy America as a recognizable and free country if we give him even two more years in power. I will continue praying for our country - we desperately need God's help.

Amen !

“We need a much smaller federal government, one so small that it no longer attracts the jackals and parasites who have grown fat on government pork.”

That would suggest ‘term limits’ for elected officials. The issue concerns not only political longevity , but also political responsibility . Many of the “Founders” put their personal financial fortunes at stake in the foundation of this country ; several “Founders” died bankrupt .
We need to remove the opportunity of personal and financial gain from holding political office. It used to be a matter of civil pride “to serve the needs of the country” , and not for personal gain .
Take out the profit motive and personal gain from holding political office ; bring back the concept of ‘civil duty for the sake of the country’ .

One of the first lessons of studying a bureaucracy is that it exists to perpetuate itself. Most of the various Departments found in Federal Govt. do just that through regulation , administration and self-perpetuation . Many could be merged and reduced both in number , and in function.
