This is the way world ends, not with a bang but a whimper - T.S. Elliot.
A whimper? Of course! We can't afford outrage because we work for a living.
We poo-poo the OWS crowd and the liberals when they march for their deviant causes. Of course they have this time we say, they don't work for a living as we do! We laugh at their folly.
We can't carry signs or march on washington, we are too busy working. We don;t see that we have become too busy being something that long ago quit being anything other than funds for those who rally against us.
While we make fun of the OWS crowd and those like them, they use our indirect support to bring this country down.
We are SUPPORTING our own downfall. Worse than that, we are feeling superior doing it!
Reminds me of that movie called “The book of Eli” starting Danzel Washington....very interesting must see movie!
Not to prove yourself at all - I support your observations - I am very afraid that we are going to see in our own time what the German people experienced under Hitler. All I do is talk/write & a bit of prepper stuff. It’s gotten so ruthless out there with the Chicago Mobsters—I fear we ain’t seen nothing yet. If you have ideas on what to do, I want to know. If you don’t, that’s okay, too, cuz I sure don’t either.
Jeepers, did they move it up to December 12th now? I was really counting on those last nine days.
Great movie!
Perfect example of one man who knows whats what.
And made fun of in the process. Mainly because people do not really want to know the truth.
It’s Dec. 21st. and it’s the first day of winter, that’s all.
MyLife has it right. They're the bloated dinosaurs they used to laugh at and it's their turn in the tub. You want revenge? Subvert their kids.
I'm serious. It's easy. I gave out a couple dozen of those little pocket copies of the Constitution and told them, "here, read this. It'll take 20 minutes. This is what the government is supposed to be doing." Somebody's Mom turned up on the campus where I work wearing a Che t-shirt (badly), and I whispered to her little darling, "Che was a murdering psychopath. Google it up."
Just don't get all heavy. Wink, and mock - those are the weapons of revolution. Tell the kids, "your television is lying to you" and they'll believe it because they know it's the truth. Ask them how a guy in a thousand-dollar suit is any kind of champion of the poor. Ask them how a guy whose career depends on people hating one another can ever be a healer. Tell them that celebrities are stupid. Smile, and laugh at the Left. Everything they once did is about to come back at them a hundredfold.
Enjoy the revolution. I am. And don't ever, ever, ever give up. :-)
In the 1960's a few ugly lesbian man-hater feminists got together and convinced America's stay-at-home moms to burn their bras and selfishly abandon their children for the union socialist schools to raise.
Today's voters were yesterday's socialist-indoctrinated students who were never taught and will never know HOW AMERICA WAS MEANT TO BE. This cycle will continue because mom and dad will forever work and dual incomes will never be sacrificed for the children and a return to the 'wise and informed' voter.
In a new, female-dominated society where girls will be girls and boys better damn well become girls (or be punished), emotions rule the day and we turn to 'The View' and set sail on the political winds of celebrity style and swagger.
Now, go to work and get your 'personality review'. We don't care about performance!
I am. My kid voted for Scott Walker in his first election and I did not say a thing about that election to him. He did it on his own. He said afterwards, "it feels good to be on the right side"
I beg to differ - my Newt magnetized bumper sticker is staying on my car forever (makes it easier to find my car in a parking lot).
We are gonna see some shit. What to do? I don't know other than to survive.
My OP is a complaint that, those of us who see the writing on the wall do NOTHING as a group - nothing. We complain, we agree on our complaints. Other than that - nothing. So, it comes down to individual survival.
We can't come together because, well, it is not really happening, no need to walk on washington, just keep going to our jobs, because our jobs are what keeps it going, but, we don't want to keep it going, but, if we don't work, we don't have money to take or bitch about giving. We can't fell superior if we don't give.
Hell, the status quo is our new god...If we ain't supporting the 'ner do wells, we have nothing to bitch about.
Marching is for lesser societies without a ballot box.
Marching is almost-mob-rule.
Implicit in any march is the threat of violence — and we’re not that kind of society — yet.
OWS achieved precisely nothing.
We’re marching to the polls in a few weeks...
Excellent suggestion on the Youth - they are hungry for Truth, especially done with humor and kindness. Thanks, Bill
Yesterday I asked my son-in-law if he thought he would know civil war veterans.
It’s not about a date. But you know that. Your post was abut another matter, so let me address it.
Feel big? Feel Superior?
I want you to feel bigger and better than me.
You are the sort that needs validation of superiority.
I give it to you.
You are superior.

And what happens when your march comes up impotent?
Could be voter fraud or reality.
What happens then?
Will you march on washington? Take up arms?
Or swallow what has been ejected?
That, my dear FRiend, is the question I ask.
“PACKERS WON THE SUPER BOWL WOO HOO!”
Amen, Bellflower - BINGO - Right on. That is the only answer that works. The Wretched guy, Todd Friehl (sp?) shows how it’s done on a regular basis. Thanks for getting me back on track ;o)
Well said - having lived thru all that and having many regrets (It was my ex-husband who was the bra burner, not me), you nailed it. Women have traded their children’s well being for stuff. I reject the notion that both parents have to work. They choose to because of the STUFF. All solutions are pretty simple. Doesn’t mean many will listen.
You chip away, and NEVER give up.
