“Hobbes and Bacon” is a “Calvin and Hobbes” tribute that takes place 26 years later. I had nothing to with creating these cartoons – I am merely posting them here so that you can see them. There are four – and only four – but that’s enough to get the message across. You can see larger versions of the images by clicking twice on each image:

Wow, thanks for these.A buddy of mine had these on his coffee table and I had never heard of them.Loved ‘em from the start. The same friend was killed by a wrong way driver while moving back to FLA from LA 10 years ago.I always think of him and Calvin and Hobbs together.Miss you, Mark.

I omitted Malard Filmore because it is overtly political, And "Day by Day" isn't.

Day by day sucks.
It’s so overtly PC.

Sooo. Did he marry Susie? Well, Mr. Bun was mentioned in the first strip, and he belonged to Susie.

I read all the Calvin and Hobbes books to my son at bedtime.... many, many, many, many times over (and over and over)!! It got so he could recite each ending before I got there, and we make C&H jokes all the time.
Now, he's "too old" for "that kind of stuff". But I'll always have the memories.

The mere mentioning of Calvin & Hobbes once made me laugh out loud during Easter Mass.

Wow. I'm the other surviving Cheech Wizard fan. Vaughn Bode was brilliant but his was a very silly and self-destructive end.
Calvin and Hobbes, however, was in a class of its own. And this is a very sweet tribute. 26 years. I'm feeling kind of old.

BTW Patrick F Mcmanus Married Bun.

My favorite is Calvin is standing in the middle of the living room and he's holding a splintered, badly chewed up baseball bat and the room looks like it's been sprayed with machine gun fire as he's been batting rocks around. His mother is screaming “Look at this place!’’ “What in the world could posses you do something like this!?!'' Calvin takes a quick look around and says to his mother, “Poor genetic material?’’

I'd venture to say that your son would rapidly respond with his own C&H jokes. Childhood memories are a powerful bond.
