I am not sure if those scores are accurate but one thing I do recall is the college of education at my school was just full of elementary education majors.
They were all girls and they tended to be absolute babes.

The average IQ score of a student in whatever major.
I believe the IQ methodology assigns 100 as the average IQ in the middle of the bell curve.
Actual testing, IIRC, puts it at about 98.
If the average IQ of a math major is about 111, per this article, and 150 is in the top 1% by definition, then one has to assume that lots and lots of math majors with IQs around 100 are choosing to be math majors.
I seriously doubt that.
On the whole, the young ladies were painfully stupid. And the staff were almost entirely lesbian. Go figure.

This is a poorly planned attack on education because Interdisciplinary Studies the highest on there questionable list is a common major for those going into teaching.
But then, I recalled that all students are now encouraged to take SAT and continue on to college, with grants, subsidies and loans. That skews it lower than it once was, I'd think.
I also recalled that there is an entire country with an average IQ below 60, upon learning of which I was amazed that the populace could collectively remember to breathe.
So, no, the scores actually aren't too low. By way of disclosure, I tested out at 142 back in the day and score higher than that now, if those online things are any sort of reliable guide.

No way engineering majors have an average IQ of only 111.
Bad base presumption, that the average IQ of SAT takes is only 103. The unintelligent don’t go to competitive colleges that require SATs. 1 in 4 Americans don’t graduate HS at all, and only half that do take the SATs.
Can't be right. I've had (2) IQ tests, and don't want to brag, but they came out dozens above that.
