Dobson Blasts 'Viscious' GOP Opposition to Akin

“I regret to say that Congressman Akin has been subjected to disgraceful treatment at the hands of the GOP political bosses,” Dobson said. “They have withheld funds for his campaign, even though he won the GOP primary for the Senate seat. Karl Rove and Haley Barbour have said things about his character that are untrue. Their vicious opposition could get his Democratic opponent elected in his stead. That is curious since an Akin win could give the Senate majority to the Republicans.”

An annoying little girl would be the one making personal attacks rather than answering as an adult.

As far as what you are saying, I can quote you.

“”Like someone should take what a TV preacher says seriously. I’ve seen Elmer Gantry.””
“”and the sooner you dwindling little band of socons understands””
“”boneheaded fundies””
“”A candidate’s views on abortion are irrelevant anyway””

On freerepublic, the faithful are the norm, as are social conservatives, and abortion is always relevant.

A virtuous man would've realized his situation. He would've accepted he jeopardized the agenda he claimed to defend and stepped side like Sarah Palin did, like the hypocritical Todd Akin said another congressman ought to do.

He's all about himself. He and his crazed wife, so obsessed with believing she is preordained to become a senator's wife is now comparing what happened to Todd Akin with rape, do not deserve to join the U.S. Senate.

He has betrayed the movement, betrayed the public trust, betrayed the party and is betraying his nation for his ego.

He has eight days left to do the right thing and allow a common sense, pro-life constitutional conservative to take his place and defeat McCaskill. He won't do it. The crazies and conspiratorial sustain him.

I rarely hear Akin mentioned anymore. He obviously is not getting out so.. it is up to him to win or lose.

That said, he is personally responsible for what he said and the consequences that follow.

He was supported until he acted like he knew something, which he didn’t.

I guess all the whining is lack of funding. Oh well.

Only pussie Republicans backed away from Akin.

Terrified of their own shadows.

One thing abour dems, is that they are brave enough to ignore the media drama.

I don’t hear anyone picking on him or metioning him lately. The attention he gets is brought on by himself and his wife.

I would vote for him because he is better than McCackle, but I would hope he could smarten up a bit and cut out the drama.

Does anyone know where (K)arl Rove came from? Does anyone have any background on him prior to his step on stage during the W. administration? My spirit does not like this man. There has to be a good reason why.

Rove grew up in Utah and became a protege of the elder George Bush, which is how he met the younger Bush. He had a successful political mail and consulting operation in Texas.

I do know he has been married 3 times. He was raised in Nevada and there are rumors his stepfather was gay ...I have not researched it. Like you...I get bad vibes from Rove.
