This is a little bit better than Barack's tweet of "Give me more money!" this morning, don't you think?

"We must also engage, however, in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness. The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent, is not innate; nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion, or ethnicity. It may find expression in a particular brand of violence, and may be channeled by particular demagogues or fanatics. Most often, though, it grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair."- Illinois State Senator Barack Obama September 19, 2001

You stupid Americans caused all of this and one day I Barak Hussein Ubama II (Praise be to Allah) will make you suffer for this!
I Barak Hussien Ubama II: decree that September 11th will now be a day of service, to commemorate the service those brave Martyrs did to harm the great Satan. (Allahu Akbar)

Why did she put it in the passive tense? Why didn’t she name the people who attacked the US? Is Sarah also reluctant to identify Islamofascism as the toxic ideology behind the murder of thousands of Americans on September 11, 2012?

Yes she should have written this as it is the truth:
We remember that eleven years ago today nearly three thousand of our fellow Americans were killed by evil ISLAM.

Because her statement wasn't about them.
What was about our Military Men and Women, that the very fact that they are still fighting in Afghanistan today is a direct consequences of what Happened 11 years ago today.
Not to call out Al-Qaeda, we all already know them, but I know far too many people forget our Military is out their risking their lives everyday because of what happened today.

Shortly after the second plane came in, Ladder 118 of the FDNY raced across the Brooklyn Bridge with her six-man crew to join their brethren at the World Trade Center. Upon arriving, they were directed to the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel to ensure that all nine hundred staff and guests were evacuated. They were still inside, making sure that all civilians were out of harm's way, when the South Tower came down on top of them. Two months later, their brothers who tirelessly dug through The Pile, brought them home.

That's one of my favourite quotes:

Rather we should thank God that such men lived."
