Democrats are so out of touch, so delusional, they have given Sandra Fluke a prominent speaking platform at their convention. If you remember correctly, Fluke was the thirty year-old, feminist student at Georgetown who testified before Congress as a supposed victim of economic discrimination; i.e., Georgetowns most affordable health plan an annual $1559 policy - didnt cover her need for condoms because oral contraceptives were not safe. Disregarding the fact that Miss Fluke is thirty years-old, and free condoms can routinely be found at health clinics and colleges across America, what does this say about personal responsibility, let alone common sense? And what about her supposed male suitors? Were they equally incapable of purchasing a box of condoms, abstaining until they had money, let alone procuring a part-time job; something millions of teenagers do every year? If your health is truly that important, wouldnt any rationale human being sacrifice that Starbucks latte, one night at the bar, that Code Pink donation, in order to purchase contraception? Apparently, unlike law school, life doesnt come with instructions.
The real tragedy of this choreographed charade is that millions of hard working, responsible Americans cannot put gas in their tanks or food on their table; even worse, they are losing their homes, their children, their very lives. Furthermore, there are countless "victims" who are suffering from real maladies - Cancer, MS, Diabetes, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, etc - who could careless about the financial rigors of a 75 cent condom.
Yet, amidst this real national tragedy, Democrats have the gall to put this woman front and center as a tool of demagoguery solely to cement their imaginary, war on women, election theme and to propagate the irrefutable need for Obamacare; which, by the way, is largely responsible for skyrocketing health premiums in the first place. If our so-called President and his devoted followers actually believe Sandra Fluke is representative of the current plight of this nation chronic unemployment, massive debt, record foreclosures, inflation, a worthless currency they have completely abandoned the American people, the American Dream, altogether.
If a political party cannot differentiate between priorities and propaganda, progressivism and patriotism, how can they be trusted to solve, let alone recognize, our most pressing issues? Sadly, though most fittingly, our confused liberal friends could have learned a lot from Utah Congressional candidate, Mia Love; a self-made woman, responsible mother, and recent RNC spokeswoman who immigrated from impoverished Haiti. Yet, guess which indelible inspiration the Democratic Party chose to honor instead? And guess which woman the unbiased media will relentlessly promote as the voice of this new generation of victimized women? Well, because silence often speaks far more than minced words, Im going to my hometown health clinic here in rural America. There will be no cameras, sensational headlines, or Greek columns to announce the grandeur of my presence or my cause. Therefore, in the anecdotes of altruism, the pages that bind the guiding principles of our lives, I leave Sandra Fluke with this final footnote: instructions are on the way!
Seriously, hers is the face of the Democrat party? A woman known for wanting someone to pay for her birth control — AND ONLY BECAUSE OF A POORLY WORDED REMARK BY RUSH LIMBAUGH.
It looks like someone used her to beat the ugly out of an ugly stick.
And, yes, that IS being nice...
I can’t imagine that Fluke actually spent more than $.10 in a year on actual contraceptive expenses. To paraphrase an old lawyers joke, she has the worlds best contraceptive: her vile personality.
She’s so ugly, two men broke into her apartment, when she cried out “Rape!”, they both yelled, “NOOOOOO!” - Rodney Dangerfield
Post 23: perfect, absolutely perfect.
I’d chip in for a tube of superglue...
Not my creation, copied from elsewhere.
Unfortunately.
Not really. When I lived near Seattle in the 1990's, a tribe of Native Americans decided that they wanted to live in 14th century conditions; no modern appliances, housing, medical care, any of it.
Years later they came back out of the woods and sued the government because, living in the 14th century, about 1/3 of the pregnancies ended in still births or miscarriages, and some how that was the white man's fault as well. And the white man had to pay for it.
When people are addicted to entitlement, the cure is not pleasant or quick.
Thanks ,really,for setting me straight.
I’ve seen enough of her being displayed by the Obama regime.
She can’t afford birth control, but she can afford all her travel expenses?.Who is paying for that? Do I really need to ask?
Was that really what her testimony was about?
I thought Fluke's testimoney was about supposed unnamed friends of hers who were denied oral contraceptives for theraputic use (even though Georgetown U's plan covered them for theraputic use).
Anyone know?
Thank you.
That’s what I remember of her testimony and I didn’t remember anything about condoms.
People are hurting our case (1A for religious institutions and employers) by making false statements about her testimony.
Thou shall not bear false witness.
Her testimony has plenty in it to criticize on 1A grounds. Lets stick to the facts PLEASE!
This moron does not even know that after her usefulness is over mac daddies group of plantation slaves will not even remember her name.
Future males who need a tramp for the night will give her a call and arrive without any protection because they expect her to have plenty due to the fact that she is unable to afford them on her own so the government helps her due to her busy and active sex life with whoever smiles at her.
is monica Lewinskey speaking? Genifer Flowers Anita Broaderick etc
Many think the government is their baby daddy and get po’d when they get caught spending government money on hairdos, manicures, liquor and cigs, not to mention gambling and vacations.
It's a bit like Clinton's infamous letter about "loathing the military"--he carefully worded it so that he is supposedly talking about the views of people he admires, not himself.

VERY CREATIVE!
Unfortunately, I’m just the messenger ... I can’t take credit for it.
