FOX can piss off anyway, they attacked Newt, helped to get Romney and never ever including Hannity mention how the homostapo are using NAZI thuggery etc.

They got their boy elected and like the GOP thinks all out conservatives not the half assed ones who only care about their own taxes have no where to go.

Look I’ve wanted a Palin candidacy since day one.

We could have had one.

PALIN decided we would not have one this time around.

It is time to run a campaign.

I wonder what would have happened if instead of Clint Eastwood doing his Harvey act instead he introduces anew mystery guest, who has been flown in under deep secrecy.

And instead Sarah Palin gives a speech, or she and Clint trade barbs against Obama.

I’m sure at some stage Romney debated whether to bring in Sarah, maybe he chose wrong, only time will tell, and time waits for no man or woman.

As good as Eastwood was it just wasn’t quite enough I think.

Sarah is far too smart and classy to stoop to these big government socialists. Maybe she had no desire to be in a room with a bunch of hypocrites that despise her.

The time you speak of is at hand, but it will get a lot worse before it the Lord comes again.
The socialist are alive and well in the Repuglican party and they hold the seats of power like the conspiring men they are. It is up to us to slay them and put their kind on the sideline. This will take quite a few more election cycles.
The formation of the American Dependence Party starts on November 7 and I can think of ni better figure head to lead the way than Sarah Pain my write in choice for President.

Well, it’s been a fantastic convention.

I am not even joking, I’ve been moved to tears more than once.

Too bad she didn’t run. I would certianly have voted for her. However, Mitt ran, and he won, and I am most certainly going to vote for him.

I heard parts of Romney's speech on the radio (I don't watch TV) and none of Clint Eastwood's. From the transcript, it doesn't seem to me that I missed much with the latter. What would have electrified the otherwise predictable RNC convention (besides a hurricane) would have been to have Sarah Palin. What's Romney afraid of? That she'll upstage him? Wouldn't take much. I did hear the things he wanted to work on to improve and was aghast to hear "education". Every single time a politician has put their non-educator outsider fingers on education, they have had horrific consequences. First we had "No Child Left Behind"--a dictate not supported by funding--and then we have "Race to the Top", pitting school against school and demanding certain curricula (leftwing, of course).

All of the griping about and condemnation of teachers on this board is largely undeserved. WHAAAAAT? you say. That's right. Teachers are forced to teach what their administrators and school board tell them to teach, if they want to keep on teaching (and paying that mortgage). The often absurd wackola things that are brought up on this board usually don't originate from the teacher, but from higher up the food chain. As I said, politicians who know nothing about education but whose ear is raptly attuned to some slick talking "progressive" educator (touting usually unfounded stories of success for schools following their program) then seize upon a "looks good on paper" idea from one of their ivory tower leftist "educator" advisors and force it on their school system. The programs almost always fail dismally because they are not based on what really happens in classroom. Teachers get blamed for the horrible results.

A case in point: the "workshop model" in NYC schools. There are about 43 minutes in a class period. You have 10 minutes for "whole class teaching". Then, the students are supposed to break into groups for "cooperative learning" for 20 minutes. Never mind you lose 5-10 minutes waiting for them to move their desks into their groups. Then you have 10 minutes to "summarize" the lesson. What if someone, G-d forbid, asks a question? Are you supposed to say, "No, Johnny, can't answer your question. You'll throw off my timing."? What if--I know it could never happen--a student MISBEHAVES and disrupts the class? Oops. Threw off your timing again. If you think I am kidding, I can tell you for a fact that administrators have come into classrooms with STOPWATCHES to make sure the teacher adheres to the workshop model, and that teachers have received unsatisfactory ratings for the lesson if they spent 12 minutes teaching or the kids spent 18 minutes in cooperative groups. The latest? Mayor Bloombutt has now dictated that students may NOT be suspended for smoking, cursing, leaving the premises without permission, etc. So how on earth do they expect classes to function if the kids know they will have no consequences, anything goes? This is when politicians think they know better than professional educators and feel the need to micromanage that about which they are totally clueless.

So Mr. Romney--PLEASE keep your wool-covered MITTS out of education. Leave it for the professionals. You'll have plenty else on your plate to occupy your time, I promise.
