Remington has figured out that there will be no room for them in an America with Barrack Obama as president. When I first saw this advertisement, I thought it was a spoof. Then my Brother called and said he saw it in the American Rifleman, the flagship publication of the NRA.
Full page ads are not cheap, and you can bet that Remington management did some deep thinking before they ran this ad.
I say, welcome home boys! Let us see Ruger, Smith & Wesson, and, yes KelTec step up to the plate. There are a host of other American manufacturers that could look to Taurus as an example!
Your companies will never be acceptable to the left. Stop feeding the mouth that bites you. Come on in, the water is fine.
I have not bought a new Remington for years...
I may have to rethink that decision. They make some very nice guns.
I just took my new Remington 1911 R1 to the range yesterday and ran a hundred rounds though it... Respectable performance.
I saw that ad earlier this week in the NRA mag.
Very cool.
Very nice admonition to Politicians (Obama and Holder).
It does not have the words "Attention Politicians"
Have been trying to get one of those rascals for sometime now. TALO edition. Still “on order...”
haha who they going to lock up in the mental ward this time? CEO of Remington?
They should do it. I have seen some real innovation by Ruger. I have disposable income. I have been thinking about a new .270 stainless.
The government knows this, which might be why they bought all that ammmo recently.
Civil War 2 a.k.a. rebellion will invite invasion from China/Russia/etc. so it’s a bad idea.
Hmmm....need to get some practice time in on some clays, with my Remi 1100...
I’d like Remington a lot more if they made enough 7615 Police Rifles so that one of them could get to a gun store near me!
It does not have the words "Attention Politicians"
The meaning was still plain enough. Pretty ballsy advert by Freedom Group / Cerberus.
Even if we have a civil war, China or Russia neither one would be stupid enough to invade. The decision to throw every nuclear weapon we have at them would be lots easier if there were trouble on the home front. Also, whose”side” would they claim to be on? Their economies would be collapsing too. Kinda reminds me of K Mart merging with Sears....
It is ... I think that's the first ad I have seen EVER that really addresses the 2nd Amendment.
Let us see Ruger step up to the plate. Come on Ruger. You know it is the right thing to do.
Do not be a tail end Charlie. Get your ad out before Smith & Wesson does.
They are still smarting over the Clinton debacle. They ended up with new ownership.
Maybe you could put in some wording about “What can a handgun do against an Army?” With a creative picture of a gal with an Ruger LCP stopping a rape by a guy with a blue helmet nearby.
SOP in regimes such as in Venezuela with Chavez. It is the direction this administration seems to want to emulate.
I cut the ad out of my AR magazine, and posted it in our coffee room........
Hmmm...if’n I were headed for Cottonwood this weekend, I’d consider a side trip to Prescott to rattle a cage or two...
