The Hillsborough County School Board in Tampa Florida appears to be the only school district in Florida and perhaps the nation which will knowingly allows Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) officials to instruct students regarding Islam and Sharia law. Tragically, board members have no problem with CAIR officials giving their biased version of “Sharia”, “Human Rights and Islam” and “Women and Islam in different countries” to hundreds of students at Steinbrenner High School funded by taxpayer dollars. Tampa has a CAIR headquarters and a HUGE mosque there. It has already happened. This is just the next step and the local government is too stupid to say ENOUGH. As for the people of Tampa, tons of libs in the south side and a large area of people living on the system. Sad but true, this was the perfect spot to do this in. Glad I live in Po-dunk Polk County.

We are making good progress here in Florida. Good Education Reform legislation was passed and signed by Governor Scott. We are not done, and state and local communities must get involved for more progress to be made.
So, can the Christians address the students too?

Exactly. I’m sure the School Board would not allow someone to teach the Catholic religion in a public school. Tampa Officials should expect some phone calls.

There are some nice surrounding areas of Tampa. Don’t discount moving to the burbs of Tampa. Or you could come to Lakeland! :)

Tampa is a pit, with crime rates through the roof.
Please share the link to this thread with all your Florida mailing lists,and especially anyone you know in Tampa. I believe there are far too many citizens of Tampa who have no idea of what is taking place.
Tampa citizens need to call their School Board members and ask that question. It is really up to us to put a stop to this violation of “Church & State”.
