Obamas and Bidens campaign events have been marked recently by less than impressive attendance. Meanwhile, attendance at Mitts events have been overwhelming. Here is a couple of pictures of his recent visit to Chillicothe, Ohio.
Well, it turns out there is a reason for Obamas less than overwhelming attendance. It seems that his campaign is purposely limiting tickets:
We have plenty of time for big rallies, a campaign spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said between the rallies on Thursday. Our focus right now is on exciting our supporters and winning over undecided voters and the smaller and medium-size events are the best venue to accomplish that because the president can closely engage with the crowd.Big rallies are expensive, especially given the logistical and security challenges for a president as opposed to a mere United States senator. And Obama campaign operatives, both at the Chicago headquarters and in swing states where Mr. Obama recently has stumped, say the campaign intentionally limits crowds by restricting tickets. The reason is to allow the president to better connect with supporters, aides say.
So when reporters report half-empty Obama fundraisers, his Campaign responds, Hey, we sold out!.
If they are being on the level, Im not sure that is wise. But then, theyre the experts, not me.
I’ll bet the odds are over 50% that somebody is going to take a shot at Obama (and miss badly) during a campaign rally and that the apprehended will have Tea Party ties. It will be staged, of course, and the Tea Party ID will be a plant but the media will react by condemning Romney and claiming that negative attacks (like telling the truth about Obama’s economic record) are simply too dangerous and too inflammatory to be used on the campaign. It’s the Alinsky way.
Considering Reagan/Mondale... Romney would have to carry all 50(7?) states.
here is a hint
Public can sign up to watch Obamas speech

Members of the public can now sign up for the chance to hear President Barack Obama speak during the upcoming Democratic National Convention.
Organizers plan to make tens of thousands of community credentials available for the Sept. 6 speech at Bank of America Stadium, said Joanne Peters, DNC committee press secretary. The majority of the credentials will be issued to people who live in North Carolina and some surrounding states, she said.
Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are due to accept the Democratic Partys nomination during the speech at the football stadium.
People can apply for a community credential at barackobama.com/community-credentials. Applicants must give their name, email address, phone number and zip code. Anyone who signs up will get more information about the next steps in the credentialing process from the Obama campaign operation in their state, Peters said.
Anyone given a credential must arrange their own lodging and travel, according to the website.
Right...people are realizing what a phoney and a liar he is. Any other explanation is just more lies.
“So when reporters report half-empty Obama fundraisers, his Campaign responds, Hey, we sold out!”
Nonsense. I do political events. One of the first rules you learn is to have your venue a little smaller than the turnout. A crowded room is exciting. The same size crowd with a bunch of empty seats is not.
If Zero’s planners are putting him in half empty rooms intentionally, he needs to get new planners.
Is this one of those semi satire things?
We limit ourselves to just a few people?
They really do believe Americans will believe anything.
Maybe is he could break out those Styrofoam Greek columns again it would help!
Perhaps he should stick with the “Spinal Tap!” meme and get a “Stone Henge” arch and have pagan dwarves dance around it.
If Valerie told Obama the truth about his failure and the fact that nobody wants to listen to his spew he would blowup in front of the cameras.
Is it possible to fit styrofoam Greek columns in a phone booth?
Still, I believe that Obama will soon be filling stadiums for his rallies once again by busing in his goons, sycophants and shiftless people from nearby housing projects. Then the mainstream media will loudly proclaim that the Obama campaign "has the big Mo" and the "Comeback Kid" meme will be dragged back out of the archives.
But these crowds will be composed much differently than those of four years ago. You won't have all those earnest college kids this time around and all those suburban, guilt-ridden whites from the suburbs will be missing as well. Half the people showing up to this years Obama rallies won't even bother showing up to vote on Election Day.
So do not get discouraged when the nightly news starts featuring packed stadiums of wildly enthusiastic Obama supporters at rallies.
Living as I do in a rural setting near Chillicothe, Ohio, which also is a relatively small city on the edge of Appalachia beside the Scioto River, let me tell you that that is a huge crowd.
Given the region and the limited population, that picture shows a mammoth turnout. Were it New York City, it would have to be over a hundred thousand to match what you see there.
Suuuuuure they are!!!
I loved the scene of “Spinal Tap” name being placed below the puppet show at the amusement park.
Valerie Jarrett: Oh, no! I told them once, I told them a hundred times, put “Obama” first and “Puppet show” last.
David Axelrod: It’s a morale builder, isn’t it?
Valerie Jarrett: Obama’s got a big dressing room, though.
David Axelrod: What?
Valerie Jarrett: Got a big dressing room here...
David Axelrod: Oh, Obama’s got a bigger dressing room than the puppets? Oh, that’s refreshing..
