I received word by phone early this morning that a person, 50 year-old Gary Owen, who had been sending threatening emails to Republican 49th Legislative District candidate Eileen Qutub had been arrested on suspicion of two counts of malicious harassment, a Class C felony.
Owen, obviously not a supporter, indicates extreme anger over receiving a campaign mailer in the mail and instead of just throwing it out, as a sane person would do, sent the following email,

Take Note Brain Ross: the G. Owen is not the person known as Greg Owens that comments here and on the Columbian.
Do not attempt to attach this Owen to anyone except the real Owen.
Hey, didn’t he used to post here?
;-) ;-)
May God protect Mrs. Qutub.

Let Bacchus’ sons be not dismayed
But join with me, each jovial blade
Come, drink and sing and lend your aid
To help me with the chorus:
Chorus
Instead of spa, we’ll drink brown ale
And pay the reckoning on the nail;
No man for debt shall go to jail
From Garryowen in glory.
We’ll beat the bailiffs out of fun,
We’ll make the mayor and sheriffs run
We are the boys no man dares dun
If he regards a whole skin.
Chorus
Our hearts so stout have got no fame
For soon ‘tis known from whence we came
Where’er we go they fear the name
Of Garryowen in glory.
Chorus
Gary
Just taking his cue from Dear Leader.
I don’t like getting campaign literature from liberals either but there are more constructive ways of dealing with it.
I sent an email to the campaign of one a few years ago and politely asked if the could stop using the glossy card stock because it wasn’t very absorbent and I feared that rectal papercuts posed an infection risk.
I'd like to sue the post office for about $100,000 for forcing me to take my time to throw out their unrequested, unwanted junk mail sh*t out of my mailbox on a daily basis.
I think the U.S. Government Post office now distributes about 50 thousand tons of unwanted junk mail daily.
I had a government letter carrier tell me if it we're not for their junk mail being dumped on Americans, there would be little else to deliver.
Jam all the junk mail into one of the junk mail return envelopes, and send them back. If everyone did this, this unwanted chet would eventually stop it's endless flow.
It's always the same thing.
Some corrupt career politician running for another bloated gravy train government position, with bigger lottery style government benefits and pensions, as they poses for pics. It's always them with the family and their dog at some picnic with an American flag draped over them...Or attractive pics of them sitting around the fire at home eating apple pie...Gak.
Jam all these junk mails into one of the junk mail return envelopes, and send them back. If everyone did this, this unwanted chet would eventually stop it's endless flow.
Just once I want to get one of those ads that shows the politician with a gun pointed at the reader and saying “Vote for me or I’ll come to your house and kill your family”.
At least it would be different.
Junk mail supports the post office just as regular mail.
That's what it's all about.
Kinda like being forced to re-register and pay for the same vehicle over and over and over and over, instead of only when it changes ownership...It's all a scam..One big con job.
It's like them confiscating your income...It's all about supporting bloated corrupt government, their pensions and benefits.
Or the truth...."Vote for me again so I can stay on the tax paid government gravy train, line my pockets and collect more government pensions and retire a millionaire. I'm fighting for me, not you stupid".
I canceled a credit card because they sent all the literature in Spanish only but altho I felt like saying a few choice words, I didn’t.
I would not want this POS as a neighbor for sure.
Let them mail out all the crap they can.
It’s costing them money.
