Something to bear in mind on 'Starbuck's Appreciation Day'
Aug 7 2012 | SJ

Posted on 08/07/2012 6:23:01 AM PDT by scottjewell

Just wanted to point out something which I know some have noticed, but it's important and worth bearing in mind today, which is "National Starbuck's Appreciation Day" (renamed "National Marriage Equality Day").

The massive success of Aug 1 CFA Appreciation Day would appear to have spawned a second victory of sorts.

It is a subtle sign; one easily missed. But its subtlety does nothing to negate it's import.

I for one find it very telling that Starbucks Headquarters has specified that it not only does not want to be viewed as hosting today's event, but further, that they want the many other companies who support gay issues to be listed and patronized today as well.

If one reads between the lines here, I think it will become clear that not only does Starbucks not want a high concentration of gay rights supporters in its stores today, with the ensuing news coverage, but that they actually recommend that money might be well spent elsewhere today.

Think for a moment at what is being said there.

What could this mean but that CFA Appreciation Day had an effect on it, and made it rethink to some degree its being viewed specifically and publicly as a pro-gay rights corporation? And if this could be the case with Starbucks, might it not at some juncture become the case with other companies as well; those who were rash and hasty enough to allow the Rainbow Agenda to browbeat them into public support? Perhaps the gays over-reached with this whole public corporations taking sides affair.

In any case I thought today might be a day to bear this in mind.

Perhaps with a goal of everyone in the Country becoming gay, they may have over-played their hand a tad.

Who wants to be overrun by cranky, b*tchy gays waiting in line 10 deep for the slow moving barristas at Starbucks? Can you imagine the orders? Half caf, soy milk mochagrande with a double shot of espresso and no whipped cream, two cherries on top and just a pinch of organic nutmeg. No, wait, make that a venti carmellatto cappachino with cocoa. No, wait.....

I think the broad success of Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day will have a long-term affect on businesses. It was far more successful than anyone could imagine, especially within the MSM and gay community. Look how pathetic their “kiss-in” was in comparison. Neither event was organized, though Appreciation Day had the advantage of Huckabee’s recommendation. Yet that can’t account for the wide disparity in numbers between the two events.

Starbucks may also be looking at JC Penney and how their pandering to the gay community has affected them. You don’t turn your back on the vast majority of Americans who believe in traditional marriage. We’re the ones with the economic resources to keep these businesses alive. If a business targets a small, relatively unwelcome portion of the community, that’s ultimately who they can expect in their shops.

Every fag in America is already prancing around with a bladder full of that overpriced crap, don’t see where their big day will even be noticed by non-sodomites.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll give WIDE BERTH, and avoid the long lines of gay’s supporting their concept of marriage. Call it a legal union, a LIFE CONTRACT for sexual joy, but it ain’t HOLY MATRIMONY, until two roosters can produce a chick this dude is not drinking Starbucks.

The point being missed, as I see it, is that Chick-Fil-A’ “appreciation day” was appreciating them, or more specifically, Dan Cathy’s right to voice his beliefs and opinions in a free society. Also, the appreciative throngs of CFA supporters were there to demonstrate their disdain against those who were trying to deny Mr. Cathy that right.

Moreover, the planned Starbucks event is a manifestation of the hate and vitriol coming from the left and the gay community. They’re not fighting for a “right” to their beliefs, in a free society they have that already; moreover, they’re fighting because we don’t agree with their lifestyle and choose not to either condone, or support it.

Mr. Cathy of Chik-Fil-A is a good man. - Some friends of ours and their grown children worked at Mr. Cathy’s children’s home for years as houseparents and bus drivers. In that case, Mr. Cathy didn’t just DONATE to children’s homes (though he probably does that as well); he evidently fully funded that particular home. Excuse me if I think that’s a lot more important than funding some frivolous homosexual bandwagon cause or the other. - There are NO SIGNS posted in CFA against “gays”, there are no discriminations in employment at CFA. Mr. Cathy just stated his personal religious beliefs regarding marriage IN A RELIGIOUS MEDIA (Baptist) interview. - Let Home Depot and Starbucks donate their money where they choose; Mr. Cathy certainly has the same right.

Starbucks doesn't want the gay community doing for them what they did for J.C. Penney.

Perhaps the gays over-reached with this whole public corporations taking sides affair.

From Rudyard Kipling:

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy -- willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

Remember when Starbucks refused to follow in the footsteps of other chains and did not ban conceal/open carry?

Yeah, go ahead and appreciate Starbucks. Liberals have such short memories.

I have frequented Starbucks periodically, but since the homosexual recruiters have chosen to elevate it for its donations to organizations that support immorality, its off my list.

For Starbucks Appreciation Day, I’m going to get my coffee at McDonald’s for a buck, and leave the server a three dollar tip.

Why Starbucks Appreciation Day? Because Starbucks in many locations has a line. So that gays and their supporters can snap pictures of that everyday line and call it a victory.

Tell me when that line goes out the building, around the complex, and out into the street. Tell me when people in cars are waiting a half hour, JUST to get into the line to order.

CFA appreciation day really shook them, and they have absolutely no idea what to do now. No, you fools, what should have really shook you was California passing a constitutional amendment stating that marriage was the union of one man and one woman. I don’t care if you shack up, but re-writing the dictionary does not make you married.

This is like saying:

“Turn on your headlights at night to show support for XYZ”

It is a fake success set up to cover a fake marriage.

This is so the MSM can use all the stories and anecdotes they prepared.

Not to worry Starbucks, I'm not gey and there isn't a hope in hell I will patronize a local establishment of yours and drink your overpriced swill. I don't care how comfy the lounge chairs are.I will express my appreciation to Mr. C4E for his thoughtfulness in prepping our morning brew which I am enjoying at this moment. My morning bagel is better too.
