Well, this doesn’t make much sense, now does it??
Back in June, we showed you a video of Mitt Romney from 1994, proclaiming his support of the Boy Scouts of America and his views on its gay members.

In the video, Romney stated:
“I believe that the Boy Scouts of America does a wonderful service for this country. I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue. I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.”
Now, a spokeswoman for Romney is saying he STILL upholds those beliefs and confirmed:
“This remains Romney’s position today.”
This is where things get confusing, though, seeing as Mitt has opposed gay marriage, but yet, he thinks ALL boys should have the right to participate in the Boy Scouts!
What gives, Mitt???

I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.”
He knows there are both scouts and THERE are leaders.
He said ALL PEOPLE. He also said PARTICIPATE (and not just "join".)
Heaven help us!

Did Romney not say the BSA should make the decision?
I think these threads are a waste of time, and this from someone who almost certainly will not vote for him.

You’ve not brought out anything new. Romeny’s position is well known. It’s why we’re fighting for the most conservative Congress possible.

We are constantly told that there are a lot more fascisexuals out there than is commonly thought.
Okay, let’s say I believe them. Then why can’t they develop their own young men’s organization and run it any way they like?
With older boys and troop leaders who are fascisexuals, it becomes more of an agenda driven program for the fascisexual cause, than an agenda driven program for the cause that it was intended to promote. That’s not where the Boy Scouts of America wants their organization to go, and I don’t blame them. It should be their choice, not people who only want to hijack it for their goals.

Well, if skills equate to intelligence, then....talking out of both sides of his mouth would qualify.
So, if we hide the fact that our guy is an ax murderer, then we just might get him elected????
That's easy. A TEA Party-led Republican Congress will more easily contain a lame-duck President Obama than a President Romney who will be the head of their Party. It's what the GOP should have been doing the last 2 years, even with a limited number in the Senate. Instead, we got weepy and blinky (Bohener and McConnell).
Think endless Congressional investigations, impeachment proceedings, and if there are 2/3 Republicans in the Senate, Obama can look forward to the possibility of impeachment and removal. That ought to make his sphincter tighten for 4 years.

That was picked up by the AP who ran this quote way at the end of an article about eagle scouts turning in their medals.
That is when various sites saw it and caught it and did not hide it.
However, I will admit that Romney supporters will have a hard time liking this kind of info, even though their guy said it. Even they know he shouldn’t be saying this stuff.

Okay, let me see if I understand this. He supports Boy Scouts right to have whoever they choose to have. But He supports whoever would like to join them also. Is that what this article is saying???
This is the same Mitt Romney who is about April said that he supports gay couples, and that gay couples should be allowed at the state level to adopt children.
This is the same Mitt Romney who supports open homosexuality in our military, so long as we're withdrawing from a war zone, anyway.
This is the same Mitt Romney who told gays in Massachusetts that he is their best friend.
(Secret: and the same Mitt who some wonder if he runs on AC/DC power.)
Our troop always wanted girls to join and participate in our activities.
Mitt specifically said:

He is saying that his PERSONAL BELIEF is in gays fully active in the Boy Scouts.
Are you interested in your candidate's personal beliefs?
Which is what Mitt wanted, too, except
gays and not girls.

So My next stupid question would be, Why would anyone want this swept under the Rug? Perhaps should be in Breaking News, thinking a few that participated in Chic fil,A, might be interested in this.
