Picture this: an eleven-year-old child attends a public school. One day at school, her teacher overhears her talking to a friend. The child is telling her friend that her mom believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. Because of laws now in place, the teacher must get the principal, and the child is taken to the office.
The mother is tracked down at her job and arrested. The child’s father is away on business and cannot get back immediately; there is no one around to take care of the young girl, so the child is put in temporary custody with a foster parent until suitable arrangements can be made for her care.

I doubt if our legislatures will pass such a draconian and “vague” law.
Besides, saying “I do not support same sex marriage” is not “hate”
I also believe that Gays would be excluded from the generally accepted “protected classes” (race, national origin, etc.)
If it keeps up “straights” will have to be a protected class, as Gays hold sway.
In violation of freedom of Religion and speech.
If this is even half true, then it is one more valid reason NOT to leave “social issues” out of the equation this election.

Reasonable people know that opposing same-sex marriage is not hate. But the left wing nuts are not reasonable.
Does that mean I can’t call them queers anymore. Of course, it’s ok if they call each other queers. Reminds me of the blacks calling each other the “n” word (and you didn’t believe I could be PC) but let a white use it and it becomnes a hate crime.
