Once again, anywhere Western law and Islamic law conflict, it is Western law that must give way. If you won't pick up passengers with dogs, don't be a cab driver.

Here in Indianapolis most of the cabbies are Muzzies (they even put foot washing stations in the new airport terminal).
I know my buddy who is blind and has a black Lab assistance dog has taken many cab rides. I’ll have to have him ask these guys why they aren’t adhering to their beliefs.
My personal law is my four pound Yorkie will not be put in a Muslim/Islamic cab. She is much too high class for that.
I bet if you bribed them with Infidel Cookies they’d be more than happy to take you and your dog where ever you want to go!

On the other hand, if one of the true "believers" visits or emigrates to a Non-Muslim Country, the "natives" are expected to abide by ALL of the "believers'" customs, mores and other religious dictates.

the answer here is really quite simple.
let the market decide.
the cabbies are allowed to profile based on pets.
let the riders profile based on cabbies.
let rider say “no muslim cabbies for me”
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever trust a man who doesn’t like dogs.
In the Twin Cities they refuse alcohol in the cab, and I believe grocery cashiers refuse to ring it up. If I’m wrong on the latter, it’s the location, not the act.

A woman alone in a cab or anywhere else with a mohammedan is probably not safe.
I hope someone in Toronto starts riding in their cabs and leaving pork chops or bacon behind.
If it is not a service dog, any cab driver, Muslim, Christian, Jew or atheist should be able to refuse to load a dog.
That's maybe why she the dog with her?
