Brought out of the dark depths of the United Nations Millenium Development Goal (UNMDG), the call is out for a billionaire's tax. It's been on paper for years now, but few believe it.
The United Nations on Thursday called for a tax on billionaires to help raise more than $400 billion a year for poor countries.I cannot source the graphic or date it, but it makes the point. Along with this, the UN is on the March, likely trying to get as much of this nonsense through before Obama is chucked out of office. An annual lump sum payment by the super-rich is one of a host of measures including a tax on carbon dioxide emissions, currency exchanges or financial transactions proposed in a UN report that accuses wealthy nations of breaking promises to step up aid for the less fortunate. ...
There are an estimated 425 billionaires in the United States, 315 in the Asia-Pacific region, 310 in Europe, 90 in other North and South American countries and 86 in Africa and the Middle East. Source: Washington Times
UNMDG - Dated August 2000, under Governments:
3. To move towards creation of alternative revenue sources for the United Nations. The United Nations should set up expert groups and begin the necessary intergovernmental negotiations towards establishing alternative revenue sources, which could include fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions (i.e., the Tobin Tax) and a tax on the carbon content of fuels. The billions raised is to be used for "poor countries?" Bwaaaahahahahaha!
Once We The People throw Barry and his ‘RATS out on their asses, we really need to work on sending the commie bozos at the UN on their way. Americans shouldn’t have to put up with the UN’s crap.
If they start with a tax on Oprah Winfey and end with a Micheal Moore tax, I might be in favor. No matter how you slice it, those two take up way too much space on earth.
Less than 1,500 billionaires and they expect to raise $400 billion per year? It sounds like fuzzy math to me.

Have any idea what Romney would say about sending the commie bozos at the UN on their way?
Hey, look on the bright side: Four more years of Obama, and we’ll be a poor country! Maybe we’ll qualify for the Billionaire Bucks!!
“we really need to work on sending the commie bozos at the UN on their way.” You have hope. You have confidence that we can beat all those mother-jumpers back to the he**holes whence they came. I agree. Keep the faith!
Until then don't even think about it.
The UN has no taxing authority here, nor should it have.
The billionaires are only the appetizer. Unfortunately we will all be on the menu.
No way, no how. They’ll call it a “billionaire’s tax” but somehow it will end up being paid by dentists in Duluth.

I live under a constitution as do most of the other people of the planet, that gives our respective governments the power to tax us.
It's bad enough to pay this extortionate tax to one govt entity, the UN has no power over me for tax purposes.
The thin edge of the wedge. They get this tax through, then next one will arrive in about 3 years. For far more people and for far more money.
“What’s the difference between the United Nations saying “I see you have some money there. Give it to me” and a mugger saying the same thing?”
A mugger might be able to harm you.
They would also have to keep it hush between the entire Congress and Senate without
a peep to the media. The conspiracy would need to be so vast it would be impossible.
Nobody has, well few have,an actual billion laying around. They will have to sell assets which probably means more job losses.
