If you are in Texas and want your property taxes to continue to go up, vote Dewhurst.
If you want your taxes lower, vote Cruz.

This endorsement looks like it was co-written by Karl Rove and Mitch McConnell.

So Dewhurst got bestowed with the badge of shame that is the Houston Comical endorsement.
The Houston Comical will always go with the candidate to the left of the others. Checking the comical endorsements before a local election for people you may not be familiar with is a great way to see who to vote against.

These days I don’t think you can be TOO Conservative. I will take a Senate of DeMint’s,Rubio’s,and Paul’s over RINO’s any day of the week!

I have a HUGE problem with organizations like the Chronicle making endorsements in Republican Primaries. To me it’s like Dr. Mengele deciding which Jewish twin is the better person and should be permitted to live a bit longer, before being gassed.
Do we really need people like that being involved in judging our candidates?

Actually, if they wanted an EFFECTIVE endorsement, they would have still chosen Dewhurst, but they would have claimed that Dewhurst is more conservative (like some well-paid clowns on this site) and therefore better represents Republican voters in this state.
...but they blew it.

Thank God the daily newspaper is becoming a thing of the past. The sooner they become obsolete, the better. In our area, many "daily" newspapers have become weeklies or published 3 days a week. Now that is GOOD News

It’s “traditional” but it doesn’t exist! How about a big round of applause for the lamestream media? Come on, folks, give it up. Where else can you find inane nonsense like this? Not even the funny papers can compete.

The Houston Comical is only picking Dewhurst over Cruz in the Republican primary. In the general election they will pick the democrat, whoever it is, over the Republican. That is the Comical way.

You might consider adding “tx” or selecting “US:Texas” in the Topics window, the next time you post a Texas article. That way, it will be listed on the sidebar for those who follow Texas.
