Honestly, I think the time for action has come and gone. We will all hang separately because we did not fight together. Your American Idol comment is apropos. I’ve been saying the same thing for years. People only care about what’s on TV and if American Idol will run for another season. As long as the TV works, the A/C is running, there’s food in the fridge, and McDonald’s is open 24 hours, people don’t give a damn about politics.
We cannot overtake the government. We cannot change it at the ballot box. We wouldn’t win in a fight from the ammo box. We can hope for more Galts and more Henry Bowmans, but the likelihood of either of those scenarios is pretty slim.
As a nation, we’ve been irreparably harmed. Trying to enact new legislation just means more regulations on the books. We need to repeal a majority of the last 100 years of legislation to right this ship. Otherwise we’ve already taken on too much water. The deck chairs are sliding into the sea, and the band is playing “Nearer My God to Thee.”

2007 Fort Dix attack plot
A group of six radical Islamist[1] men, allegedly plotting to stage an attack on the Fort Dix military base in New Jersey, United States, were arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on May 7, 2007. They were subsequently charged with planning an attack against U.S. soldiers. The alleged aim of the six men was said to be to "kill as many soldiers as possible".[2] Their trial began on October 20, 2008. [3]
Opening arguments were presented on October 20, 2008.
Assistant U.S. Attorney William Fitzpatrick said the defendants were inspired by jihad saying "Their motive was to defend Islam. Their inspiration was Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.
