As you probably know by now, the House of Representatives will vote this afternoon to determine whether U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is in contempt of Congress for obstruction of the Oversight Committees Fast and Furious investigation.
While those on the left are trying to spin this vote as election year politicking, the fact remains that it was Mr. Holders choice to refuse to produce requested documents for more than a year, stonewalling on every demand. Of course he ended up hiding under the umbrella of that ultimate refuge, President Obamas grant of Executive Privilege.
For me, this is the very last straw. Some naifs are comparing Fast and Furious to Watergate, but there is no comparison. As Iowahawk so eloquentlyput it, F&F is Watergate with toe tags. If Holder had anything to do with it, he should be immediately fired and promptly prosecuted for the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Then he should be deported to Mexico to be tried for the murder of the 300 or so Mexican citizens who died because of this program.
But its not just that.
This man has been a problem from the moment he took office. This is a man who claims to believe that requesting a photo identification in order to vote is racist, and yet requires photo id to be presented when people come to see him.
This is a man who accused America of being cowards because we were afraid to talk about race.
This is a man who refers to African Americans as my people, disregarding the fact that he is the A.G. for the entire country, not just one segment of its population.
This is a man who refused to win a prosecution against members of the New Black Panther Party for voter intimidation, choosing instead to simply drop the case and walk away.
In short, it really doesnt matter how Congress votes today.
For most of America, Eric Holder is already beneath contempt.
Watching pre vote discussion on Cspan now.
Any idea what time vote is expected?
I’m sick of these bastards and their disregard for our laws and way of life. ‘Fundamentally transform’ this AG’s contempt hearings to impeachment. Enough already.
Congress didn’t have the cajones to stop ObamaCare so what makes anyone think they have them to stop Holder?
I can’t help but think now that SCOTUS gave obama and the dems an obamacare victory, if they find Holder guilty the dems will use it against the republicans by accusing them of doing it to get even.
I wonder how many Democrats will have the courage to do what is right and vote Holder in contempt?
If the democrats had their way, the vote would take place sometime in the next century. They all want to start over and go back and investigate Bush before proceeding with the vote.
The Congress alone could not stop Obamacare..We need a Senate and President, too.
A Dim Congress voted it in along with a dim Senate and President.
November is coming.
Prayers for our Nation.
if the congress find Holder in contempt of congress....the Supreme Court will reverse it....
Jim McGovern (D) saying the republicans are the ones who don’t care about Brian Terry, they only care about politics (So we should investigate Bush)
Blame Bush appears to be the democrat line of the day. Heroic Obama stopped it all. /s
Quayle just did a pretty good speech on the floor.
They will not find Holder in contempt.
Then we will be subjected to endless post of how Republicans are playing chess not checkers. Yada...Yada...Yada...
Rep Hank Johnson has a nice suit. Too bad there is no one in it. This guy says there are some documents that they may have good reason to keep private and we need to trust the AG when he exerts Executive Privilege.
Darn it! Did I miss Gowdy speak? I saw him sitting there just now.
Gawd! Jim McGovern sounds just like Jim Jones! Ugh!
Working up the vote.
Angry Black Congressman speaking.
Cummings is inarticulate as hell.
It never ceases to amaze me how easily they lie.
I know. :/
They depend on the stupid to stay in power.
