That was one of the major items that doomed Hillarycare.

Obama learned well from Hillarycare's defeat. He made sure NO ONE outside the Dem leaders, and the lobbyists who helped him craft the bill, saw what was in the bill before the vote was taken. That way opponents couldn't cite specifics against it.
