I just called the Department of Justice today. I have never done anything like this before but I felt compelled.
You see, it was all over the news yesterday that the DOJ had set up a special hotline number and an email address to report potential civil rights violations by the government!
Finally, I thought. Finally the government is willing to listen to us ordinary citizens whose God-given rights are being trampled and ignored in favor of the government's misguided and over-zealous policy initiatives.
No. I am not an illegal alien. But if the government has its way, I am soon to be an illegal Catholic. This because I refuse to be intimidated by and to comply with government agencies that try to force me to buy things the violate my religious beliefs.
So thought it was a great thing that at least one part of the government is concerned about civil rights violations by other parts of the government, so I called.
I am not sure exactly what the answer I received means, but I am sure my religious liberty will be restored soon. The answer I got was cryptic but encouraging. "Mailbox is full." I am sure that thousands of other abused Catholics got the same idea and called the civil rights abuse hotline at 1-855-353-1010. But just in case, I think you should call it too just so they get the message.
If you cannot get through, do like I did and send them a follow up mail at SB1070@usdoj.gov

Heh. “Poor Man’s DoS attack.”
Bump for reference.
Bummer.. you’re now on the Obama and Holder hit list.
For anyone interested the number is (855)353-1010
Make an early July 4th gift to yourself of a throw-away phone from WallyWorld...and burn up the doj phone lines!!!!!
I’m calling that number because someone cut me off in traffic.
Tomorrow I’ll call if the doorman doesn’t call me, “sir”.
If someone doesn’t chirp me a, “Good morning” whaddya think I’ll do...?
>>>Bummer.. youre now on the Obama and Holder hit list.>>>
Yes, I am. But we all are anyway. The more we act as a group, the less we have to fear.
Brings to mind a quote.
'Gentlemen we must all hang together or we shall most assuredly all hang separately'
Benjamin Franklin, upon signing the Declaration of Independence
Actually, everyone should use that number every time we see a suspected illegal alien. Report them all.

There’s a guy at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. I’m not too sure about. Should I call?
I’m afraid to even look at the number
Seriously...as tempting as that is I'd be careful. There could well be obscure (or not so obscure) Federal laws regarding,well....use you imagination. The best thing to do might be to get each Freeper, for example,to make *one* call asking what time "American Idol" comes on Channel 22.
With God as my Judge this happened to me earlier today...I was doing my power walk this morning on a route that takes me past the spot where Osama's illegal alien uncle was arrested for drunk driving a few months ago.A little bit past that spot (a bar/restaurant) I passed a guy waking in the opposite direction who looked a lot like the mugshot I've seen of him.I kept walking and then came upon a city cop and mentioned it,jokingly, and he said that *he* thought it might have been "Uncle Omar" as well.
I think I'll drop a dime! ;-)
We should call to tell them our civil rights are being violated by illegal aliens who take our taxpayer dollars in benefits. We should also say that the Obama Administration’s refusal to enforce our laws also consitutes a violation of our rights.
I got through! I talked to a young lady and told her that my civil rights were being abused by people voting illegally because the justice department was trying to stop voter ID laws. She said this hotline was only for the AZ law. She told me I needed to call the election department of the justice department. I asked for the number but she said she didn’t have it. Then I hung up. However I think we should complain about the civil rights violations that we are experiencing since there is no other hotline available.
It couldn’t have been Omar the illegal, he got his license back, he doesn’t have to walk anymore! C’mon, we’re in Massachusetts after all.
Of course. ;)
