Hey Mitt: If You Want To WIN, You're Going To Need Marco Rubio

Consensus seems to be voter enthusiasm and turnout will likely decide the race...
and this kid brings all that in spades
Not only is TEA Party hero Marco Rubio a true Reaganite in policy on every issue I'm aware of, the thing that makes the young senator such a force in today's GOP is the impressive communication skills: imho Gipper-esque as well. What we need more than anything are great communicators on the right to
sell the conservative agenda to a weary and confused electorate.
As campaign attack dog, a VP candidate Rubio would be perfect- he's more conservative and a far better salesman for our principles than Romney. This would go some way towards a truce with many disgruntled GOPers on the right -and maybe a few Paulbots as well- Marco is one of us.
To me, any boost with the Hispanic vote is just gravy... my support of this man for vice president has nothing to do with any of that. But if anybody wants to hear about where he came from out-there on the trail, Marco Rubio does have a story to tell.
While rumors developed early yesterday that he was somehow out of the running, by evening Fox News had reported that Romney's campaign made it perfectly clear: 'Marco Rubio IS being thoroughly vetted by our campaign'.
Alas, I probably wasn't the only one who was less than thrilled with Rubio's lack of support for those more conservative than Romney early in the primary process... yet today he stands in a position where he's capable to heavily influence the administration of that same Romney in a real way...
fact is, I'm glad he's still in the running.
Senator Rubio might just be the future of this party- there's not too many others like him save West and Ryan. He gets it...
can explain it... and you can tell that in his heart he really and truly believes it. I simply don't like any of the other short-listers as much as this one
Some say that at 41 years of age, Marco Rubio is too young and inexperienced to be a 'heartbeat away' from the big chair... yet as the Senator himself has noted 'I get older every day'...

Yeah...he needs a pro-amnestry POS to help balance out his pro-gun control, pro-socialized medicine stances.

Who’s better? West isn’t running

Isn’t it worse if Repubs pander to a group simply due to their color? How about we pick the right Conservative no matter what group?

My top issues are DEFENSE and BUDGET... he’s Reaganite all the way there.
FWIW, Reagan had an amnesty too...

Amen!

Rubio was born in MIAMI in 1971, where his LEGAL immigrant parents had settled
Whatever are you talking about, man
To: Reaganite Republican
Nonsense. Rubio is being pushed as a VP by Jeb Bush and his ilk.
To: exit82
Not eligibleYes. He is not natural born. Have they not been listening? I cannot knowingly vote/act to invalidate the Constitution. This is what I hate about the Dems and many Repugs--lawless.
To: Reaganite Republican
Rubio is no more eligible than Zero is.

“...where his LEGAL immigrant parents had settled”
but not yet become citizens. As I’ve read, at the time of Marco’s birth, his parents had yet to become citizens. That would disqualify him from NBC status if interpreted as the term was understood at the time of the Constitution’s framing.

Hey, Mitt...
If you want to win you need to grow a pair and nominate a conservative female like Pam Bondi...
She, being one of the AGs suing Obammy on health care, would knock The issue as well as Biden out of the park...
Hello? Anyone listening? *crickets*
To: nonsporting
Well, they’re vetting him. Rubio was born in American, and IS a US citizen... but his dad was not a citizen in 1971, mom was. I understand the debate, and we’ll see what the vetting process brings.
This is not comparable to Obama at all, who wasn’t even born on US soil and used a fraudulent BC!
How you can you possible equate the two?

“What you need is a solid conservative to unify the base. It doesn’t have to be anybody flashy. “
I dunno about ‘flashy’, but if you pick a Rob Portman we’ll get clobbered... Romney is boring enough, and does not sell conservative economics to independents as well
WE NEED A COMMUNICATOR... the main reason I want Rubio is precisely that because he is a very good one.
To: trisham
Not only is he a RINO, an non NBC citizen, but he is too young. Sheesh didn’t the Republicans learn their lesson by picking that one young guy who destroyed the chances of Bush I? They will have Rubio in diapers with a rattle saying is this who you want one hearbeat way from the Presidency and most people will be wary. You need someone at least in their 50’s with lots of experience.

OK MY TOP “Issues” are the US Constitution and there, “Reaganite Republican” YOU, have been tried and found WANTING!

His parents did not become citizens until 1975....Rubio is NOT eligible for President and he knows it which is why he has been dodging the bullet on it. He knows but can’t get others to believe.
To: Reaganite Republican
This is not comparable to Obama at all, who wasnt even born on US soil and used a fraudulent BC! How you can you possible equate the two?Article II, Section 1, para 5, describes the eligibility requirements for President. The US Supreme Court in Minor v. Happersett defined what the term natural born means: to be born of parents who are both citizens. Rubio's parents were not US citizens at his birth.
It amazes me still how ignorant people are of the constitution and this issue in particular which has been discussed for 4+ years. Have you not attempted to understand the issue until now?
