Yeah: I agree shackles on tennis shoes is a bit stupid, However you description of the atrocities laid on slaves is a bit much.Few slaves experienced the strocities in this country that Christians today are experienceing in Muslim countries. In all the stories I have read of slave I don’t remember reading of beheadings mutilations and being blown to kingdomome by suicide bombers. I don’t remember reading of hand and arms being cut off, Those are the most horrific atrocities imaginable.
Yes some were beaten ,treated badly, raped and sold by their owners away from their families, but some were a part of the family they served.
I am not defending slavery in any form, but your description of the most horrific atrocities imaginable do not rivel Muslim atrocities going on today in Middle Eastern or countries where slavery still exists.

This "Dr" has obviously never studied what life was like for his ancestors when they were slaves on the African sub-continent BEFORE they came to America. American's have never committed atrocities that can match what sub-Saharan black Africans have done, and continue to do to each other...

Regardless of whether or not you think the “slavery” argument has any relevance to the marketing of these ridiculous looking sneakers, you had to know that somebody would make an issue of it. That being the case, didn’t this possibility occur to anyone at Adidas as they were preparing to launch this product? My prediction is that these shoes will be quickly pulled from the market, with the small number of shoes sold in the interim being carefully stored away and offered as colector’s items a few years down the road.

#4 SLAVERY IS STILL PRACTICED IN AMERICA THROUGH ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS.....the slaves are just more eager to accept their plight.
