IIRC several states have passed laws to award their electoral college votes to the candidate that gets the most votes nationwide, California being among them. Now if it is close and Obummer has fewer votes but o, it will absolutely KILL the liberal idiots in California to be forced by their very own laws to award their EC votes to Romney.
California law to award their electoral college votes to the candidate that gets the most votes nationwide is only valid after enough states pass similar laws that there total combined electoral votes would be enough to elect a president.
IIRC most if not all the law were written with similar clauses. But this election might make them reconsider this law.
Hmm.....I'm trying to remember how that thing is exactly worded.
I may be wrong, but I seem to remember something about all of the delegates going to the winner of each party's primary. In other words, the winner of the Dem primary gets all of the delegates in that primary. The losing Dem candidates can't hold onto their delegates. They have to give them up to the winner.
Naturally, the same holds for winners and losers of the Republican party primary.
Correct me if I'm wrong on this.
