I was raised in the country where food was never wasted in any shape matter or form. We used ‘everything but the squeal’ when butchering hogs and was glad to get it. Tripe may be un-appetizing to some, but there have been times I would have gladly eaten it and thanked God for it. As I have often said, “I will eat anything that doesn’t eat me first!”............Semper Fi!................
On that we agree. Was speaking as a foodie fresh from a discussion about tripe.
Gut meat is the best for getting fat into the body, necessary for metabolizing protein. Hard to beat a plate of liver and onions. Even had some haggis, comfort food.
Have also been hungry enough to scarf anything....
