Obama On Listening To Bob Dylan In College: My World Opened Up MAY 29, 2012 BY DANIEL HALPER
President Barack Obama awarded Presidential Medals of Freedom today at the White House to Bob Dylan John Glenn, John Paul Stevens, Madeleine Albright, Shimon Peres, Jan Karski, John Doar, William Foege, Dolores Huerta, Juliette Gordon Low, Pat Summitt, and Gordon Hirabayashi. The award is the highest honor a president can give to a civilian.
When delivering his brief remarks about each honoree, President Obama thanked musician Bob Dylan for opening up his "world."
"I remember in college listening to Bob Dylan and my world opening up because he captured something that -- about this country that was so vital," Obama said. The president also noted that he's "a really big fan."
Bob Dylan started out singing other peoples songs. But, as he says, There came a point where I had to write what I wanted to say, because what I wanted to say, nobody else was writing. So born in Hibbing, Minnesota -- a town, he says, where you couldnt be a rebel -- it was too cold -- (laughter) -- Bob moved to New York at age 19. By the time he was 23, Bobs voice, with its weight, its unique, gravelly power was redefining not just what music sounded like, but the message it carried and how it made people feel.

Thanks for “fixing” my comment! LOL
My little sister was a freshman in college and went to an “anti-war” rally. She came back saying “Those people are NOT anti-war and they are NOT for peace.”
Amid the communists, Arab agitators, and antisemites - it was hard to find a single person actually for “peace”.

News of the Pact stunned the world and paved the way for the beginning of World War Two with Hitler assured the Germans would not have to fight a war on two fronts.

Many of the participants of the large so-called "anti-war" rallies are typically naive dupes of the commie left organizers, or so bloody stupid they don't even know why they're there.
Bob Dylan has strong Judeo-Christian beliefs. He played a concert for Pope John Paul II but did not convert to Catholicism.
Dylan holds a lot of conservative views: pro-life, pro-2nd amendment(with protect your castle sensibilities), never has been a pacifist, each war should be judged on its own merits, is concerned over lack of border security, very pro-God, prefers America to be a melting pot with inhabitants , citizens and immigrants encouraged to unite under our flag,......
Thanks Tweeker!
