Allen West was the latest to get his knuckles rapped for saying there were "about 78 to 81" members of the Democratic Party who are members of the Communist Party.I His crime, like McCarthy's, was in raising an uncomfortable subject. We may never know who is or isn't a communist, socialist, Marxist, Stalinist or Leninist in Congress, since all socialists work by deception, define words with obscurities, and refuse to identify themselves, with exceptions like Dohrn and Van Jones. Even in the heyday of communism, the most influential of its comrades were never "card carrying members" and lying was a way of life, which included obligatory perjury. But regardless of their nuances, deception is an integral part of their political ideology.

Socialist, Marxist, Stalinist, Leninist and Democrat.
Note last sixty years.
Exactly, and a good example is to always refer to Nazis as Fascists, never mention that they were socialists as in National Socialist Workers Party.
I think it's safe to say all card carrying members of the democratic socialist party are communists!
.
Exactly. Whenever we discuss WWII, we should replace the word Nazi with National Socialist. It’s completely accurate and Nazi was just the shortened term for it.
and environmentalism
Socialist, Marxist, Stalinist, Leninist and Democrat.
Note last sixty years.
Shouldn’t we be able to ask the Progressives just what they want to progress toward?
They only want a free ride on everything,it’s an option the lazy demand.
Never mind that Allen West is right, and so was Joe McCarthy. Both are now readily dismissed with an Alinsky snort and eye roll.
Um, they didn’t “rap” Col West’s knockles. They tried to...
Right, but no names were named. WTH good is that?
Simply calling people one disagrees with communists or Marxists, regardless of details, makes one as much an idiot as those who said Reagan or Bush were fascists -- and as deserving of disregard and disesteem as Occupy protestors.
This article is bass-ackwards. It doesn't take much to show that George Bernard Shaw was sympathetic to dictatorships a few generations ago. Show me that Tony Blair is more sympathetic to tyranny than other politicians and the writer will have proven her point.
Having read and understood Karl Marx's own words that in fact . . . "socialism is an inevitable progression to communism" . . . I came to a very simple philosophy . . .
Looks like a duck
Walks like a duck
Talks like a duck
is as you say . . . A Communist by any other name!
I have noticed that liberals often deny that they are liberal, or that they are following some political ideology, or that they have a rigid ideology in the first place.
On the other hand, conservatives are willing to say that they are conservative. They are willing to discuss conservative principles and values, and will engage in debate about those principles.
Whereas, liberals tend to get into the shouting down or shutting down debate on issues. They claim that you are racist, sexist, xenophobic, Islamophobic, hate poor people, hate women, want a dirty environment, et al. when discussion of issues comes up.
For example, how can we discuss issues of taxation and spending with liberals? If you want to explain how lower tax rates can benefit the economy, liberals often come back with clap trap about how government programs to help the poor will be cut, how we’ll see more homeless, more people grappling with poverty, and other alleged disasters.
Or, how can you have an honest discussion about this whole “global warming” thing? If you want to talk about energy production and costs, or cost vs. benefit of liberal ideas such as solar and windmills and such, you often find that debate breaks down, as the conservative is told that Republicans want dirty air and dirty water, implying that there is no cost too great to pay for a clean environment.
Liberals don’t care about the costs of shutting down power plants because of costs to comply with new EPA guidelines over carbon emissions. If we end up with rolling blackouts in our future, will liberals care then?
I would sum up as saying that conservatives will tell you where they stand on issues, and why. Liberals try to stoke fear of conservatism, without putting forth explanations of why liberal values are better, except for one-liners about how conservatives are bigoted and care only about big business making profit and that line of thinking.
When the USSR fell, certainly there was a list somewhere of its agents working within the government of the USA. Why was this kept from the American people who financed the fight against Communism with their blood and treasure for 60 years?
The left deals in deception. That is why so many leftist politicians are defense attorneys.
