Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) adopted a combative tone in a recent interview with NPR where he said that he is “doggone offended” by libertarians. He told NPR “I despise these people” and implied that he is happy to intimidate those that “dump on” him with threats of violence.

Noam Chomsky and Bill Maher are libertarians like Bill Clinton and Barry Obama are Christian.

Not so, you say he is bearable, that is the trouble, we are willing to let one of those seat warmers sit there and sleep. We need a young vibrant fire brand that will kick Harry Reid's A$% three times a week. Get Lost Orin, you have sucked on the public teat long enough

You seem to believe that the only reason Orville is getting another term is because of me. I can assure you that is not the case.

I am beginning to believe that he is keeping it on account of you, though, because you apparently know how to get rid of him but haven't done anything about it.

Milton Friedman was a registered Republican who subscribed to some libertarian (small *l*) ideas.

Libertarians are one step up anarchists...a very small step.

Please use the actual quote.

“I am a libertarian with a small ‘l’ and a Republican with a capital ‘R.’ And I am a Republican with a capital ‘R’ on grounds of expediency, not on principle.”

But, he said, “I think the term classical liberal is also equally applicable. I don’t really care very much what I’m called. I’m much more interested in having people thinking about the ideas, rather than the person.”
