The Republican led House has voted to allow U.S. military action against Iran if the regime threatens the U.S. or it’s allies (Israel) with nuclear weapons.
According to a section of the National Defense Authorization Act, “it shall be the policy of the United States to take all necessary measures, including military action if required, to prevent Iran from threatening the United States, its allies or Iran’s neighbors with a nuclear weapon,” reported Raw Story.
The use of the word threaten literally makes it possible for the U.S. to attack Iran whenever they please by simply claiming that they were threatening us regardless of the reality of the situation.

The much talked about and feared war with Iran seems to be closer to the horizon than ever before.
Lawmakers by a vote of 299-120 passed the sweeping legislation, which sets out a total of $642.5 billion in military expenditures for the coming fiscal year.

This language represents a significant shift in U.S. policy and would guarantee that talks with Iran, currently scheduled for May 23, would fail. Current U.S. policy is that Iran cannot acquire nuclear weapons. Instead, H. Res. 568 draws the “redline” for military action at Iran achieving a nuclear weapons “capability,” a nebulous and undefined term that could include a civilian nuclear program. Indeed, it is likely that a negotiated deal to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran and to prevent war would provide for Iranian enrichment for peaceful purposes under the framework of the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons Treaty with strict safeguards and inspections. This language makes such a negotiated solution impossible.

I think he already told us that he would side with the muslims.
Our wonderful USAF can disarm the Irani nutzoids in a matter of just hours, a few days at the most, and with less civilian casualties than other options. After that, they can keep threatening us and issuing fatwas to kill us, but that’s about all. (However, it gets harder the longer our politicians make excuses and “enable” the Nutzoids’ development of icbm’s and nukes.)

This is one of those times I’m glad that someone posted raw story links and Huffpo links. I know there is an incredible amount of garbage on both sites but most of the right wing sites that I’m a member at don’t and can’t keep up with everything. It looks like we are going to expand the wot as a basis unto itself and move further from just war theory into a Clausewitzian nightmare of pain and cruelty.
Publicly he will say or do anything to get reelected, but I believe, behind the scenes, he will stab Our America in the back to protect what he perceives as his future muslime America.
