Part of the problem is that many of the younger generation don’t really know what communism is. A generation ago, “communist” was about the worst thing you could call someone. It had real impact because people were aware what an evil communism is.
Now, for many young people, learning that someone is a communist has no more effect than learning he is a Rotarian. Our public school system has so dumbed down an entire generation, communism no longer generates the revulsion it deserves.
