Well...here is the issue: We are a family of 5. 3 kids...one of which is small. Our bug out location is about 30 miles away. Any other scenario we are OK....we have a heads up and can move our stuff. An EMP? If we do bug out...we lose the advantage of having stored up all our supplies.
And I doubt the National Guard will be coming. They have no plans for this at the State level...there would be communications...it would be chaos. Those guardsmen have families too...and they are going to protect them first.
I understand your point, but you can't plan for just one contingency. I consider natural disasters high on the list of problems to prepare for.

How can it be obscure when its the main theme of Revelation? Jesus revealed through John the end times and the actions of the seven churches and which churches were worthy and which weren't. There is a whore that sits on the beast with seven heads and ten horns, and her cup of abomination corrupts the peoples of the earth. How can that woman be obscure? Studying Protestants are rightfully leery of worshiping God in any way but how it is written to worship God, and that is to God Himself in the name of Jesus. To say that it is "nutty" for a Protestant to be concerned about mixing in the ancient Babylonian Queen of Heaven worship is very short-sighted. Jesus was born of Mary, a virgin at the time. Mary was a good woman, but Jesus is the savior. The virgin birth did not originate in paganism, it originated with God. Satan knew the plan and so put out his counterfeits previous to Jesus, but did not originate the idea. The Word precedes all.

Yes the number of opinion of Protestants is equal to the number of Protestants. Jesus was the only one perfect in wisdom, everyone else is wrong about things. Different Protestants will be at different levels of wisdom, according to their ability and work in the Word. I believe that those who Sabbath regularly (study the Word) will be high on the wisdom chart, but not perfect of course.

FWIW — I’ve been told that the green Marine Sta-bil is better than the red regular Sta-bil by a friend who is more mechanical minded than me. It costs a little more than the regular red, but he says it’s worth it. I get it at Wal-Mart.

Beat me to it. That type of pinhead also poo-poo’d the idea of a housing collapse, the DotBomb collapse, and a whole host of other major events. I don’t ever care to change their mind. Should there be a collapse we can’t feed everybody.
