Obscure? You need to step out from the cocoon they keep you in.

Yes, obscure, but that doesn't mean I am unaware of Hislop's claims.

You guys are as bad as the Gnostics, or more appropriately, the Truthers. You always think you know more than everyone else when they don't agree with you.

So what are you going to toss out next because of supposed pagan origins: the virgin birth?

In case you hadn't heard "correlation is not causation," and frankly, I find CS Lewis "good dreams" concept a perfectly reasonable explanation for the Fisher King myths.

I'll start paying attention to your theological fairy tales just as soon as you guys start justifying your doctrinal inconsistencies and extra-biblical rationalizations instead of redoubling your accusations (as if that somehow answers Protestant failings and self-serving emphasis). Criticizing Catholics for not subscribing to doctrines that you extrapolated from the Bible, when we make no pretense of accepting Sola Scriptura, is nothing but a conceit born of, and preserved by, a chauvinistic myopia.

And for the record, I was a practicing evangelical/biblical fundamentalist for over twenty years, so if you want to go toe to toe with me on Scripture: bring it on.

How can it be obscure when its the main theme of Revelation? Jesus revealed through John the end times and the actions of the seven churches and which churches were worthy and which weren't. There is a whore that sits on the beast with seven heads and ten horns, and her cup of abomination corrupts the peoples of the earth. How can that woman be obscure? Studying Protestants are rightfully leery of worshiping God in any way but how it is written to worship God, and that is to God Himself in the name of Jesus. To say that it is "nutty" for a Protestant to be concerned about mixing in the ancient Babylonian Queen of Heaven worship is very short-sighted. I'm not attacking Catholics, Catholics are God's people. Just keep an eye on how close to the line of Semiramis/Athena/Ishtar/Venus worship you get. Its a trick of Satan. He knew Jesus would be born of woman to be God's only begotten son, and like always Satan put out his counterfeits first to confuse people.

Everyone has their opinions. If one thought one's opinion was wrong one would change one's opinion. So naturally everyone who has an opinion think they are right. Why would someone take an opinion they thought was wrong?

So what are you going to toss out next because of supposed pagan origins: the virgin birth?

Jesus was born of Mary, a virgin at the time. Mary was a good woman, but Jesus is the savior. The virgin birth did not originate in paganism, it originated with God. Satan knew the plan and so put out his counterfeits previous to Jesus, but did not originate the idea. The Word precedes all.

Yes the number of opinion of Protestants is equal to the number of Protestants. Jesus was the only one perfect in wisdom, everyone else is wrong about things. Different Protestants will be at different levels of wisdom, according to their ability and work in the Word. I believe that those who Sabbath regularly (study the Word) will be high on the wisdom chart, but not perfect of course.

And for the record, I was a practicing evangelical/biblical fundamentalist for over twenty years, so if you want to go toe to toe with me on Scripture: bring it on.

OK. Who are the three peoples that will escape the wrath of the anti-Christ and why will they escape the wrath of the anti-Christ?
